Moogle65535 Thanks so much. That fixed it for me. I too had recently gone to Windows 10. I couldn't find that specifically called out in these forums, but assume it's here somewhere. Thanks for your help.
Has anyone else experienced this and perhaps found a solution? I had not played this in a while (since before 1.2 release) and went to re-load a save game. This would not progress past the 'generating map' load screen. I assumed this to be a compatibility issue with the save so decided to start the tutorial again from scratch. Same thing occurred though. So then I started a new campaign, and again I get the spinning galaxy and the 'generating map' message,
