I would appreciate more complexity in... 1. The diplomacy: more negotiations, in addition to missions and demands from comps. 2. More options for planets, land forces and additional structures. 3. Either custom ships, or increased emphasis on technology. -MeyeC
Love his lost fleet books, each book only took me a day to read it. Can't wait for the forth book to come out.... but back to the question; no, I have not heard of any mod being made on this. I suppose not very many people know about the series compared to say star trek and star wars.
is this some kind of a joke?
Phase jump inhibitors increase the time it takes for an enemy fleet to jump out of that system. I.E. enemy raids a planet with a small force, the PJI will make sure any attempted retreat will become a rout as their ships sit their, being ripped to shreds.
yeah, 9 opponents are terrible started a map of 5v5 with locked teams. Figured I'd have myself a big galactic war. After about an hour, my allies had made a bunch of demands, like attack an enemy I could not reach. After awhile all my allies had turned on me, and now a combined enemy fleet of 100s of ships is camping my doorstep....
quote from beginning of topic "So here it is, the ONLY way to play the factions, and I DARE anyone to prove me wrong. Note, this is for 1v1 only, and there's a brief 2v2 strat that is COMPLETELY 100% UNBEATABLE. As in, unless you KNOW it's coming and HARDCORE counter it, it will ALWAYS win." so let me get this straight, your strategy is completely unbeatable, unless they happen to...beat it? interesting.
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but you need to be careful with the progenitor's autocast. If you forget to turn autocast off for its colonizing ability, it will head straight to the planet - getting itself smack in the middle of an enemy fleet. just my 2c.
on planets you own you can select the planet upgrades button. there is an option to explore the planet, and if it has something special like a unique property or an artifact, it will be revealed.
