I have a few questions regarding this: First Does their shield stack, will several guardians disperse damage better then one or is only one effective at one time inside the same space. One takes 33% of the damage done inside the buble, do 3 of them take 99% or all of the damage? can anyone say or assume how is this calculated, is there some law of diminishing returns, like 1 absorbs 33%, 2 absorb 50%, 3 absorb 60% etc. Is there some kind of breaking point or a limit? Basically if i hav
Ok from what i can see this tech upgrade is not good because it kills targets with some shields on, but rather because it bypasses 50% damage mitigation and does full damage 30% of the time witch is around average 15% damage increase. and in some cases it can help more then pure 15% damage increase like when enemy has good shield regen,or if you get very lucky. So it is worth the resarch :P
Hm mathematically it should not be possible.Perhaps hull has damage mittigation also and missles bypass that to.. can you tell me approximately how much of shield points did the cap ships have before they went down?
[quote]The thing about phase missiles is that they can bypass mitigation. Thats what their strenght is. Lets say you have a ship that does 100 damage a shot and you have a sheild phase chance of 25% and are attacking a ship wich due to other attacks on it has got shield mitigation at 50%. Your ship will have 3 out of every 4 attacks hit the shield and do 50 damage (100 -50% mitigation) and have 1 out of every 4 attacks do 100 damage. This means that it will do 250 dama
well this makes sense if advent replenishes shields fast enough, but from what iv seen they dont have any fast shield chargers, only some aoe slow recharging on some cap ships, and this kind of replenishing makes no sense if you focus fire on one target. "you essentially maximize the damage output of your fleet so that you destroy the ship in a parallel manner instead of a sequential order (shields then hull)." No,it does not matter in witch manner you do those 200 points of da
well this is the point: you dont bypass their defense entierly , actually you will destroy their shields with this and the hull at the same time at best, but most of the time you will destroy shields way sooner then the hull. Im speeking from a mathematical point of view, i just dont see this happening, maybe im wrong i dunno but im pretty sure im not, i would like to hear some examples where someone destroyed advent ships hull with significant shield left on them
I dont see the point of this ability. Why? Well why do i wanna damage my enemys hull before i destroyed its shields when im gonna need to destroy them anyway.I dont think the resarch in weapons tech tree is worth the money and time. This would make sense if the chance to phase the shields was much higher, because this way i destroy the hull at the same time when i destroy the shields at the best possible scenario.Well i need to destroy both anyway ,why pay resarch to do it differently Th
Im' fairly new to this game and iv been mostly playing on medium speed ,medium resarch and resources , what setups do you use guys?
Hm is the number that says the "average damage " the DPS or just damage by hit?
where could i find database with some statistics more advanced then those in the manual, i want numbers , how much each armor type takes damage from each type of attack, how much HP and DPS unit has and stuff like that...
