How about that 50% off coupon! My friend really wants to play, and wants to give you money! =D

Sweet! Now give us that 50% coupon so I can invite my friends to play with me!
Ice isn't so bad... but Fire is terrible. RAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!! RAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA! Uggghh...
I think from a gameplay design standpoint, the whole thing needs to be rethought. The reward system for kills in this game creates a slippery slope, where the winning team continues to win. Like DotA (though not as bad), a couple feeds early on can cost the game. Couple this with the War Score system, and if you're losing in flag captures (which is the case 90% of the time if you're losing in klls), you get out-teched in terms of creep waves. It's a double whammy of fail
This guide was crap. Mulch is terrible for damage. It's too slow to activate, and it has a really slow recast time. The guide says "put two shamblers behind your enemy, then mulch them!" No. You'll be lucky if you can mulch 1 before they can run away. Let alone two. Mulch IS good for healing though. The guide is also mistaken when it says mulch has a small range. It has an INFINITE range. I use my mulch as a heal. I cast a couple Shamblers, then just sit them back behind
1) Getting people into a lobby has improved drastically. 2) Getting people to connect to each other once their in the lobby, still a disaster. 3) Crash on game start is fixed. I never see people get this bug anymore. If you guys can fix #2 above, the game will be golden. The best way to reproduce it is have lots of people join a single game at the same time. Like a 5v5 game, have 5-6 people join within 5 seconds of eac
I like QoT a lot. (it rhymes!) With the right items, you have various options. You can play offense using crital hit based equipment builds (available to any DG, but bundled with Shield, gives her the durability to make it viable). You can try for Minion builds, which are good at pushing towers early and map control. You can wipe out creep waves just as well as the mage DG, using spikes. You can support assasin DGs and upgrade your citidel. She has a lot of strategies availabl
Hah, now all other developers know not to use Raknet in their game...
Just a little more, Frogboy! You're almost there! PUUUUUSH! PUUUUUUUSH! BREAAATHE!
Good to hear that connectivity is still a top priority. Using GameRanger, I can usually play a game without any problems. But there are so many pirates, at least 8:1. It's sometimes hard for me to get a game going. Anyway, I hope the peer-to-peer network stuff that Impulse and GPG are working on gets a release this week. But it seems awfully ambitious to basically change all of the underlying infrastructure of a game in just 1 week and expect it to work. Especially if you
Meh. Half the games on there are for people who pirated the game and don't have the latest update.
I am on a share connection with 2 other people in my house. They can all play just fine. Whenever I try to join an internet game of any kind I get a "can not connect NAT facilitator error". My firewall is off, antivirus off, and I am not using the wireless (doesnt work on the wireless either). Though it does not make sense to me that the router would be the issue(since my 2 housemates on the same router work
Stats are completely bugged right now. Don't bother worrying about them... Lame, I know.
You get nothing. You lose. Good day, sir.
Another feature request, just add some method of peer-to-peer routing! Scenario: If Person A can connect to Person B, but not C. Person C can connect to Person B, but not A. Make it so Person A's connection is ROUTED through person B in order to talk to C! What if person B loses connection or quits?
You lose your connection. This is the nature of P2P! Wh
I HAVE A REQUEST. Even MORE important than Proxy server use by Stardock, PLEASE put in a way for people to retry their connection in Custom Games! It's frustrating when you finally get a 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 going etc, and 1 or 2 people can't connect to each other, yet can see each other in the lobby! It's silly! Please put a "Retry Connection" button next to the people who you aren't connected to when inside the lobby. Otherwise, you have to completely exit the lobby, and try to join again,
IRC is working in game. Just start up Demigod. Press Shift-TAB, then click CHAT. You can go to IRC from Impulse too. Just click Community tab.
Servers down for anyone else? April 17th, 11:45pm PST... No custom games showing up on the list. And trying to host a game results in CVP Host Game Error or some such.
Here's one I just now encountered, while hosting a game, waiting for people to connect. I must say, you are the minority here. I know how to use a computer. I know how to forward ports. And yet, I cannot play the game. I can play MAYBE 1/10 games I try. I connect to people fine, yet can't enter the lobby. If I host a game, some people can connect to me, others fail to connect to each other. If I try pantheon, I'm stuck at the Connecting screen with no sign of actual connections taking places. I don't know where people are getting this "I can play in 1-2 minutes,
Uhhhhhh... I don't think there are ANY RTS' with DedServs...
Pretty sure World at War has dedicated servers. Anyway, it'll never happen for Demigod. It's designed to use peer to peer to its very core. You can't recode the entire networking code in any reasonable amount of time. We're stuck with peer-to-peer and a broken game. It's that simple. It needs to be reworked on so many levels. So many times I've been
I don't think its unreasonable to expect a piece of software to work out of the box. Connection problems are a bane for this game, as it is so multiplayer focused. It has less to do with server-side software, and more to do with lack of testing with network game code, and lack of willingness to fix the problems before release. As I understand it, these connection issues existed even in the beta. As for whether or not we'll have the problems a week from now, I certainly ho
Peer-to-peer multiplayer gaming is the worst thing to happen to gaming since the 640kb conventional memory limit.
Hah, that is hilarious. It's almost exactly like Warcraft 3 join system, but for a different reason. Where you see people close all slots, then open only 1 slots at a time. Then close and open that one slot repeatedly... this is because doing so places you back at the top of the Available Games list that people see when you refresh the Custom Games list.
Great post. Demigod has issues, but it's so refreshing to hear directly from the developers that the issues are being acknowledged, and that they're looking into fixing them as soon as possible! Consider this customer's confidence boosted!
