My version is updated to 1.1, and the problem persists. I experience it with my main account (which, I should note, is an admin account), but not with the secondary account I created at your suggestion (which is also an admin account).
So...are you guys still working on the issue?

That...actually worked. Is there any way I can get this fixed in my regular user account or will I just always have to switch to play?
I'm afraid none of those things have worked for me :/. Valve really can't be happy with all the traffic from me redownloading today :P Do you need me to run the tool again, or was the result I sent in earlier good enough? And do you need the rar file with the stuff left over after deleting the game's local content?

Just got the game today and started it up, but the menus don't display properly. There is no background to them so they are essentially unusable.
