Why are we given the answers to the responses before we decide. these are all two dimensional giving bonus and other points. What's the point seriously. Minimal impact on game play , 2-d story and options that are recycled. These haven't changed at from Galciv 2

would be nice if there was a professional writer completely outside of game development. A more dramatic idea would be to hire even one of the writers from star trek TNG, x files, a real professional that can work with the developers. I wish this were done more. Classic example of game writing gone bad, Chris Metzen of Blizzaed entertainment. He was okay back in the day, now it's easy to build a case he's a disease. I hope this game has quality writing and plot, like a novel the NYT w

Tridus, paying interest on your debt is very important for your credit score, look up credit utilization ratio on investopedia, not to be off topic Continue the discussion, I wrote this post pretty late after some pre-Christmas beers so don't look for a perfect argument, extrapolate. Thanks gentlemen. I've followed the industry for a very long time, but if business practices have changed and these types of deals are routine then you could say Stardock ha

Hi everyone, I am surprised by the lack of any criticism or discussion of the Founders program thus far, considering most of us, the dedicated fan base myself included has made the commitment. Even so, I find myself uncomfortable with the decision, even if I am happy with it. Why so? It is highly unusual for a gaming company to charge full retail price for content before it is released a year ahead. Stardock has tried to cre

I like the StarCraft 3 race analogy. Having 3 distinct races has a longer replay value than 8 races that border on the same. Conceivably, this could be adapted to Galactic Civilizations 3 by having 3 sets of races that operate on similar mechanics but each race is distinct. No easy solution and not sure if this could translate to this franchise.;

I disagree, because ultimately 99 planetary building choices that repeats itself every turn is displacing real gameplay, and distracts from the broader picture of whatever is happening

Good idea, it would be easy to distinguish core worlds through a visible UI option. there could be additional strategic incentives like morale based on planet status and defenses like faster ship movements in core world planetary space

I'm thrusting my Machiavellian hips reading this thread. As far as "allied movements" through your own geopolitical territory, it is far more likely that US military aircraft fly through Kazakhstan's airspace than Canada's. Just because you are allied with the Archaens it does not seem realistic to allow their ships through your airspace because you are both major powers who ultimately, are using each other to advance the ultimate objective of total victory for your race. So maybe

Hi all, irredentism and nationalism is an important part of human political behavior from current day South America to Nazi Germany. For one, I would argue it is so natural to player psychology to recognize former possessions as uniquely special targets that to face an AI deaf to its importance instills confusion and lessens immersion. AI should respond to human psychology, anything else looks artificial and

Hi, I am hoping for clarification whether a Surface 2 RT will be able to play Galactic Civilizations III. Clearly, the system specs alone can, but whether the operating system will be supported is my main question. I will only have the Surface 2 RT for the next few years while I am abroad, so I am really hoping. Hope Brad is listening, and if it is not supported, I am curious from the technical standpoint for why. Thanks,
