If I try and apply a theme whilst logged in as a Standard User in Vista (Home Premuim) only some of the icons are changed, even though I am asked for the Admin password before IP opens. The Live folders, and recycle bin, for example, aren't changed. But If I apply a theme whilst logged in as an Admin user, IP works as expected.
Mine won't open either. The error says:C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\IconDeveloper\IconDeveloper.exeA referral was returned from the server. What ever that means. That's on Vista Ultimate. But it works fine on my XP SP2.
Ditto. Same error on Vista Home Premium.

Great logic.. not. It is not advertised that the weather gadget is US only. So unless it's not and I'm missing something, the gadget is broken and needs fixing. The blind, icons, boot skin etc are great but that wasn't all I paid for. I paid for the whole package. I knew about the 8 ball beforehand, so even though I might moan about it's addition, I can't complain too much. But I can complain about a non functioning weather gadget.

Very nice suite. It's just a shame that it's almost spoilt by the pointless gadgets. 8-ball? Mmm... something I can't live without on a day to day basis.... Weather? Yes the weather is a little chilly in Livonia today... it's just a shame I'm 1000's of miles away. US only weather? Come on... at least advertise that fact and offer something different for t

Hm, sounds familiar. May I say DesktopX ? Not really. Nextstart does a taskbar/start menu far easier than DesktopX and better than ObjectBar. Workshelf does basic tabbing/task/folder management far better then ObjectDock. Plus the general skin customizing and editing is pretty easy. I suppose i

1. Its not saving my setup, when it restarts its got a few objects and loads of fish that i didnt choose. 2. Welcome screen coming up all the time on Auto-Load 3. When i try to remove items (by either using aquarium splash dialog or right clicking system tray) its not letting me. When i use the built in dialog nothing h

It was unusable for me on two monitors as the CPU usage was high and never went low as advertised. I eventually got a refund. Granted my video card is a little dated now, so that may of been the problem. But DX doesn't like multi monitors at the best of times, and the action will tend to only happen on one monitor anyway. Correct me people if I'm wrong, but I think there may be a new/updated version of Aquarium in the pipeline (<img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd_com/smiles/Wink.gi

Yes. Toolbar icons aren't changed, but then they weren't in WB4 either. There seems to be an issue where WB5 continues to repaint apps that are not responding, even if you end task. You have to end up killing explorer.exe or unloading/reloading WB to clear them. But I don't know if thats limited to W2K3 or not.

DesktopX? We are talking about Windowblinds and Skinstudio. I do worry sometimes Go to Control Panel/Display Properties/Advanced/Other Advanced Controls. The fonts here, e.g. Menu/Active Title/Icon, are what the "Fonts For Classic Widgets" section of Skinstudio should change. To Replicate Problem: 1) Open Display Properties 2) Windows and Buttons: Select "Windows Classic

Using the Arrow skin, for example, when a window is maximized the window loses the transparent border, and the title bar becomes black instead of transparent. Is this by design? I hope not. STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC. WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. You have 2 monitors. (Default Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce4 MX

Not a real let down. A bit of a one. I guess they won't call it a bug, but when something doesn't work like it appears it should work...we enter a gray area. Trust me, I know. A simple google for "transparent taskbar" will yield plenty of results for other software that do this. Maybe they fake it in other ways, but it works. I'm using currently using TrueLaunchBar to transparentify ( ) m

Its a technical reason due to limitations in the Windows OS. Constant alpha & colourkeying would work with live transparency, but per pixel cannot without some serious recoding of explorer So is contast alpha not possible? Or however other apps do it? There must be a lot of "serious recoding of explorer" going on.<img src="http://images.stardock.co

Neil: No other app can make the task bar support per pixel alpha. Only a constant alpha setting or colour keyed transparency. Pardon my ignorance, because I don't know the difference. But I know that WB's taskbar is not transparent (i.e. you can't see objects placed behind it), and other apps CAN m

Win 2k3, WB 5 beta2. I have set the "Fonts For Classic Widgets" to all be Tahoma -11 in SkinStudio. But every time I change a skin these settings are ignored. The classic fonts (i.e. Display Properties/Advanced/Other Advanced Controls) revert to Times New Roman and MS San Serif. I can manually change them all here, but this is lost when the skin is next changed. All normal "skinned" fonts seem to be applying correct.
