Update: I resolved the issue buy following the instructions to completely remove gal civ from the system, restarted the pc and then reinstalling.

I bought GalCiv Crusaders but when I launch the game it still says Mercenaries and ver 2.33 Any ideas? Edit 1: I have tried various combinations of DLC. I unchecked Mercenaries but it still puts me on Mercenaries ver 2.33 :( EDIT 2: I set the beta to classic2.33 and then back to none, it downloaded a big update 1.62 GB but its STILL on ver 2.33 what the hell? Hello, I am a new player, should I get the gold pack with all expansions? There seems to be very mixed reviews on intrigye and retribution that imply they might actually make the game worse?

Surely, the game should reserve a slot for every vital resource before allocating additional habitable planets?
