Thank you, I did a quick search of the forum but could not see where this was discussed. Sorry for the duplicative post

I can only find the tutorial mission and no substantive campaign for the new Crusade DLC. Am I missing something or what?
Idea: When wishing to upgrade components of a starbase, Colony Building, or Starship I notice certain items are grey'ed out and cannot be built but when you hover over the item it merely tells you what the total requirements are to build the component. I have found this to be confusing because I am then checking each material to see which one I am missing, would be easier if the missing/lacking material was highlighted in red text. just my two cents
I am playing the campaign mission Alliance and am in the process of claiming the final Drath planet. Once I concur the planet a message dialog appears where I talk to the Drath. I complete the message dialog and then it repeats by starting the initial Drath communique, except it will not allow me to click through the message. This then means I cannot move forward and complete the dialog and finish the campaign mission. This seems to be a bug. I have saved and res
Any word on an expected time frame for release for Crusade?
I just started the last mission on campaign and it seems that the game is auto soaking, ie the Terrans are being run by an AI. How do I fix this.
Opting in now. I'll let you guys know if this rectifies the issues I have been experiencing.
I have been playing since the first alpha release and have notice as more and more things are being added to the game the more laggy the visuals become on my system, to the point where I am forced to play the game zoomed out using the icons to get a smooth game experience. I am hoping this is due to the update process and will be rectified later in the build process, through shoring up the code or something. If this is not the case my system has the following specs if someone could cl
UnleashedElf - I agree. Although I think that merely being evil or good would not change the "nature" that a civilization would practice its democracy. As I have postulated, the act of being "Evil" does not mean the practice of Democracy has been destroyed. it merely would mean that "Evil Policies" would be voted through the democratic process, not that the government was inherently evil. I understand that this line of thinking can be difficult to understand. i.e., that
"All tyrants would not give power over to the people, so if they are evil not neutral like this would democracy even come about from a more evil faction or one that doesn't even think like us." But tyrants only need to implement a tyrannical government when the populace is not in line with the leaders ideology Or Iif their only interest is to remain in power indefinitely. So my point is that just because you have labeled a civilization as evil does not mean
I believe that you are making a mistake, by assuming that the values you associate to democracy would be the values that other civilizations associate to democracy you are misunderstanding the actual practice of that type of government. There is no need for a name change or a civics change. The values of the citizenry determine the ideology of the democracy, in its basic form democracy is simply a representation of what the citizens desire. Thus, as some have harp
By the way, it would be really nice if this time a bit more attention was given to grammar. Not only does this help giving the product a more "professional" feeling (Fallen Enchantress had amateurish grammar. "Party's", really? Leave those to greengrocers .), but this game is played in its original language by people abroad, and it's better to show them (/teach them) good habits. Playing games in their original language is a gre
Well this is a pleasant surprise, I just purchased the Founder's Edition because I love GalCiv and really wanted Alpha and Beta access. Now I am really happy I decided to. Here's to hoping cool stuff keeps coming out.
Or maybe I should say, the question that was left to be answered was when the Founder's Edition would be offered to purchase
Does no one read the FAQs? There's a reason why its call Frequently Asked Questions.
Viper the question was how long would the Founder's Edition be offered to purchase, not when the alpha or the game would be released.
On the contrary, there is a reason to limit the quantity available even if it is digital. The idea behind an elite version of the game is to impute status or added value for first movers. If they allowed for the elite version to be available to anyone without a limit then the status is lost and further the value that those who moved first for the added benefits would also decrease. So you will likely see a cap on the $99 Founders edition, either just prior to the alpha release or at the momen
sjaminei , the Founders edition gets alpha access once it is released. The FAQ says they expect that to be early next year which would likely be in Q2.
