Republicans believe they can have their cake (lower taxes) and eat it too (spend like there is no tomorrow). How can we ever have a discussion about lowering taxes without addressing the spending side of the equation? Sorry, but maintaining world domination isn’t cheap. Last year we paid a grotesque 400 billion in interest payments on the national dept (third largest expense in the budget). A cowardly Republican congress allowed the pay-as-y

Very nice. However if you could find a way to host managed code within this framework, I think you could greatly expand developer interest (it's Vista after all). Weather gadgets, Flickr viewers, and stock tickers are a dime a dozen. As a developer, if you want greater depth in functionality you're currently looking at an awkward combination of VB/Java script and COM. Compare this to say developing a C# desktop application (with its debugger, integrated help, and so on).
Given geopolitical history, basic human instinct, and the strong regional self interests of countries, I would wager that it’s much more likely that a meteor will wipe out the planet before a world government comes to fruition.
Yes please it would be great for DX to support managed code. thanks, jeff
I understand DesktopX gadgets/widgets can be extended with your plugin API and COM. However considering .NET, are there any plans for a future DX to host managed code directly? For example have DX publish a managed interface to your plugin API and be a host for .NET assemblies. --thanks, jeff
