This happens randomly in my games every so often (probably every half-hour to hour on average, although I had a shocking run yesterday where it kicked in within five minutes of restarting twice in a row!). Not sure what's driving it, that part of the tooltip just drops off, and isn't fixed without a game restart.

Cheers for the update, and thanks for working on Memorial Day (but at least from my angle, don't feel like you have to - developers are people too :)).
A big plus one for this. I reckon I'll stick to playing smaller maps until something like this is in place, as the micro is just a bit too RSI-inducing. Once this is in, though, I reckon the potential for those larger map games is huge :).
I couldn't find a general feedback thread (surprised there wasn't one stickied somewhere), so apologies if I'm just blind and it's about and I missed it. Played 40-odd hours of Gal Civ 3 now and it's tops, but there were a few quirks that I noticed that it seemed appropriate to mention, in case it helps with further development. - every now and again, there's a weird bug that gets the camera focus locked outside of the playable map, and it can't get b
Aye, I've got this too, although by the look of it, it won't actually let me lower the precursor shield (I move the Crusader where the game asks, but nothing happens). Looks like the triggers for identifying that these things have been sorted may need some tweaking.
I'm very new hear, so apologies if this is already covered elsewhere, but in terms of the issue in the OP, it seems like one of the problems is that planets can't defend themselves. Maybe make it possible to build defensive installations on the surface, which can handle a small garrison fleet/early ships, but not a proper invasion fleet, which can be rebuilt if destroyed. Combine this with the capacity to build smaller hull sizes on-planet (presumably in secret undergrou

It worked when I tried it.
Strange for a console game alpha maybe - on PC with a huge diversity of systems and screens, backgr
You have to restart the game in order for the changes to take effect.
Aye, I did this, I'm slow, but not quite _that_ slow ;).
Just signed up today as a Founder, been meaning to for a while and got an email suggesting I should get a move on ;). Anyways, gave it a quick look and overall first impression is excellent. Gal Civ II is one of my fave games of all time, and I can't wait for this to be finished and get a lot of lovin' in my play rotation. The reason I've only given it a quick look is that I do my gaming from a recline, 2-3 metres from the screen, and the UI at 1
