I tend to research the researching techs first (or are we assuming that?). Bulid up the tech that lead to more techs faster. At least an ugrade or two into the research buildings before wiping out all the 1's and 2's. Then production, etc. after that. Does anyone else find what I call the 'middle techs' along the military branch tedious? My brain just turns to mush while I'm mashing the TURN key over and over and over again. I have only recently started playing -- on like my 4th or 5th game -- and I too am having consistent morale problems. I took a racial bonus on the last couple of games, and I still find myself consuming tiles for happy-happy buildings on my more populated planets. I often run around with 100-90% on my newer planets (lower population) and 50's or even 40's on the older, more populated worlds. What am I missing? Is there a "Just Deal With High Population, People" tech to research? I'v

I've had trouble getting the update (though I think I've found instructions for that for when I get home) and I have been plagued by morale problems in all three of the beginner level games I've played. Are these facts related (ie. morale is better in the updates), or am I just missing something? As it is, I wind up plocking down morale buildings on every planet, some stay at 100% and then some drop to around 40%

WHERE does one download... ANYTHING on this site? I've tried using the update button on the game itslef and all that does is open your browser, which then proceeds to load empty pages. Why can't I find the download for this? I've been reading about this game all day, went straight to the store and bought it after work, and now I woul just like to play... I'm on Vista, so the sound (at least) is shoppy when I try to start without the update. And I get a blank screen when I follow the update links.
