I can confirm, this worked for me. Go to your "User Account Settings" (type "User Accounts" into start) and create new user with administrative rights. Also create password for this new account (I called mine GalCiv). Click on start, on arrow next to "Shut down" and click "Switch user". Log into this new account. Now you need to find GalCiv.exe, it will most probably be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\GalCiv3.exe" run it, wait for game to l

They said both times they are working on the issue but I have no idea how far in solving this are they ... I hope they were at least able to replicate our problem. The folder was missing (there was same error on my notebook where is everything working fine) I created it and now the error is gone with no change in bug. To validating files - on every launch files Core.bin and GC3.bin (from \Galactic Civilizations III\data\) are getting corrupted (or just changed) and are re-downloaded when validating files. But again, same thing is happening on my notebook and there is no problem with the UI, so I'm pretty much clueless. (I also trie
