Certainly someone in the modding community knows for sure, whether these things are possible or not...

Hello all, I think this is my first actual post, not sure as I haven't logged in in ages... anyways, I'm interested in digging into the world of modding the SOSE interface, but I don't want to set out only to discover midways that the things I want to change aren't possible. So, on to the meat- are these changes feasible, and does anyone know offhand if any existing mods already feature them? Planetary icons being removed in cinematic mode. I am so tired of trying to get a nice

After playing the game some more... I think we need a new form of cultural reinforcement, that ties in nicely with this discussion: Let us bomb our own worlds! The message sent to nearby worlds who are uncertain of how much they love me will be awfully clear, with production boosts based on how low the allegiance of the world being bombed is. We could be Vader strangling Ozzle, executing through explosive force the clumsy and stupid officials in charge of such unfaithful worlds, gaining further

Mom, billy parked his subverters next to my capitals and kept on disablin' my fleet, but I kept my capitals shooting his capitals 'stead of shooting his subverters. Make him stop usin' them tactics, mom!

I admit to not reading the other pages of this, and I apologize, so if someone has already said this... meh. The story mode in a 4X game is the singleplayer skirmish. Every time you see someone post the narrative of their last game, you're reading their unique version of the story. Imagination is required.

The only thing I'm curious about... how does one defeat a Vasari battlegroup that has several Subverter cruisers keeping your fleet permanently disabled? I actually haven't seen this in action, but I've got a friend in a 5-way FFA game who thinks I'm building a massive carrier fleet, when it's really just a bunch of Enforcers and Subverters :D. Wondering what I should look out for in his fleet that could counteract the subverters.

Easy come, easy go. If a planet joined my empire moments after seeing the fleet arrayed in orbit, I'd bomb it anyways. Very few things can instill loyalty as well as fear can, and very few things are as fear-inspiring as dozens of warheads screaming through the atmosphere. The best thing my citizens can say about my empire versus the rule of another: "Oh, sure, that Empire over there is nice, but this Empire, the one currently ruling us, they glassed our fields and massacred our de

Skimmed topic, hopefully no one else has posted this stuff... 1.) Share artifact effects among allies. 2.) Implement an automated tribute system, so that economist players can more effectively provide funds for war-waging allies. 3.) Give us an option to disable the rendering of planet sprites when zoomed in; that is, if the game is rendering the full model of one planet, make it render the models of the rest, for a more realistic view of distant worlds (even if those worlds wou
