@ Sean Glad to help hope you can fix [e classic]:congrat:[/e] @ Azdude Thanks for the good tips I will use those wherever possible [e classic]:)[/e] I tended to convert to .mp4 or .mov before and both are around 4-5% GPU useage depending on the dream used. My display is @ 4K so the power draw on the system is already quite heavy! Going to try .h264 on some see how those turnout.

Nope nothing fixes it other than not using .wmv files for now or converting to other formats. Its broken in the preview window as well just does not seem to work well with .wmv files right now.

Just upgraded to version 10 (from 8) and want to report that if you select any .wmv video there is a serious bug as the FPS is broken. This means .wmv videos play at an insane FPS causing GPU useage to shoot up to 97% making the PC unuseable unless you do not select a .wmv format background. .wmv played perfectly on version 8 on Windows 10 with the very latest build & all updates applied. As you lose the Win 8 licence when upgrading to Win 10 I hope Stardock make allowances for that in the price for Deskscapes 10.Deskscapes 8 is not going to work for those of use who bought it unless we buy another licence for Win 8!

8.20 works on Win 10 but 8.21 does not and you have to install 8.20 in Win 8 compatibilty mode as well.

8.20 works on Win 10 depending on the Dream used but still locks sometimes. 8.21 does not work at all.

Solved myself now. It seems some mpeg encoded dreams especially do not work properly you have to re-encode those so they are 1920x1080 by zooming into them on a video editor like Adobe Premiere then they will fill the screen.

Just want to update this to say most dreams work now but a few for some reason will not stretch full screen width they are about 200 pixels short on the sides. Does anyone know how I make the dreams which do not stretch full width. I have tried converting the dreams to mpg, wmv,avi & changing their attributes to the full 2560x1080 but it makes no difference whatsoever this is weird!

Ok thaks I am only using a single monitor so I will have to see what settings make the difference its weird at it always works in 1920x1080 mode no matter what I select in version 7 or 8 on Win 7 or Win 8.

337.50 so you can scale video dreams which are below 2560x1080 to stretch to fill the screen without pillowboxing? I have a multiboot PC with Win 8.1 & Win 7 installed neither will scale via Display Port or HDMI to 2560x1080. 1920x1080 seems to be the limit for many dreams I have.

Please can someone from Stardock let us know as these new ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio monitors are becoming more poplar now with a resolution of 2560x1080. Deskscapes 8 or lower do not appear to support beyond 1920x1080 resolution on Win 7 or 8 64 bit OSes. I recently bought a 21:9 2560x1080 monitor but could not get Deskscapes 8 on Win 8.1 or Deskscapes 7 on Win 7 to go beyond 1920x1080 it just displays black pillowboxes either side of the screen on the dream.
