Many of the candidates seem to start out with high scores on issues (that are not reflected in the their profiles), such as McCain -25 on high gas prices, etc. Then, as soon as you create an ad on that issue (even a newspaper), the candidate's score goes to -5 all over the country. Similarly, if you create any ad against your opponent on one of these issues where they have unexpectedly high scores, your opponent's score drops all across the country as well. I gather the in

First, Republican voters are +21 in support of affirmative action (the same as Democratic voters); I assume that's a typo. Second, shouldn't custom candidates start out with the default issue positions of their political party unless I change it when customizing? It seems strange to start custom candidates out with a +5 on every issue; the 100 points you are given to change positions are not enough to change many issues. Third, I've noticed

When I create a custom candidate, shouldn't the candidate come with the default positions of his or her political party unless I change them when customizing? It seems strange to make custom candidates start the game with a + 5 in every category; the 100 points the game gives you to alter issues is not enough to alter very many issues.
