Thought so on the Dip tree but after I did all the Civ and didn't get the award I went and did all the Dip just in case. As for winning, didn't think I needed too. On all 3 races doing the Mil tree I got the award once I was done researching and before winning. Heck, the last mil award I did the VL, got 5 or so systems, used the Titan to put Phase Stablizers at each choke point, turtled and reasearched. And won without going on the offensive. So, I though

While waiting for the next version to come out I've been working on getting the achievements where you research all off one tech tree and none of the other. I've been able to do the military achievements for all 3 races but not the civilian. On the last attempt I even got all the diplomacy tree done. Oh, and I tried Go Big or Go Home again and it didn't work again (and without quick start). Any thoughts? Is it just me?

Suppose a starbase is a bit much but at least make the planet none superweapon bombardable. Just think it's a cheat that you can kill the pirates w/o any pain. On the last huge game I was playing deep towards the end I finally found some of the AI planets being protected against bombardment but still not the capital and that's with the Captial victory option active.

While I'm no fan of pirates or superweapons I plan against both. However, I think it's a cheap shot to use superweapons to kill off the pirates. If I didn't want to fight or worry about the pirates, I would have turned them off. If you want to kill them, you should have to invade their system the hard way. I used to have fun buying missions against my oppenents and if they're dead; they can't do a mission. Also, I p

No scouts, no colony frigates, nothing. And I turned off Quick Start to make sure I didn't get any scouts to start. Heck, the first thing I did was scuttle the frigate factory to make sure I didn't make any by mistake.

Whoops, looks like I put this org in the wrong area. Sorry. Downloaded the Sins of a Solar Empire Diplomacy v0.90 Compatible mod today and when I enabled changes, got a mini-dump. I'm running SOSE Dip ver .90. I noticed that when I went to distantstars.moonbase directly, it said .5 is compatible with .85 SOSE Dip ver while the link from this forum says .90. Which is correct? Any thoughts as to why I'm getting a mini-dump? The checksum

I have a question. I've never used a mod before in Sins. I downloaded the file into the mod subdirectory but it doesn't show up when I go to the mod section under options. Is there some other step I'm supposed to do? The file name I'm getting is DS_Entrenchment_Beta_0.6_[8221005].7z. Is there suposed to be some sort of unzip? I'm running Sins Entrench. ver 1.02 on an XP machine. Thanks for you help, I'm looking forward to playing the mod. Paul G

Just bailed out of a game in TA where I was playing a custom race based on Darth tech (I do love the War Profit) and my money just stopped. Out of 9 oppenents, I was down to two, the Kryx and Terrans. I was at war with the Kryx and the money was just rolling in and then the Terrans declared war and it just stopped. Went to domestic and there was no listing for War profit as income. I have the save game and debug.err if it's needed. Paul G.

Sorry, I don't have a save but I've seen the same problem, and not just with that tech. I once got all the Invasion Techs from a minor race and my soldier skills were still in the basement. I'm afraid to trade for any tech that gives and increase instead of a new item. The extreme col tech is just an easy one to spot. I have the latest update as of the date of this post downloaded. I'll try my next game to set this situation up and get the files to this link. Paul G.

I've been playing the beta a couple of times and have some suggestions. Not sure if they fall under tweaks or major. 1. Would be nice to move selected colony projects from New to Old. Thus, if I get a tech from that I don't plan on ever building, such as CE Center or Recruiting Center, or a manufacturing tech from a different tech line (Slave Pit vs Manufacturing Vortex) and I don't plan on using them, I'd like to be able to move them to old so when I conquer planets I have a smaller

You folks have too much time on your hands and too much imiganition. Me, it's going to be Col 1, then Col 2 and then so on. Con 1, Small War, Med War, Large War, and Huge War. Every new improvment, the number just increases. Got enough to keep track of to make specific names for each ship and then remember what the heck that one was and how old. Paul G.
