Quote: Just look at the Palestinians picking on the Israelites. They could go anywhere, but they want that one spot. Hm I was going to take this tread seriously until I read this statement. Yeah its all he Arabs picking on the Jews. Damn terrorists! (\Sarcasm) The way this statement is worded leads me to beleive that the author thinks that the Palestinians actions are unreasonable and unprovoked. The fact that the powers in control of Israel have spent the la

Any chance you could add an additional slider(for engines) to the AI built ship thingy? Its just when I last used that option i could only 'focus' on weapons and defences and the AI that does that just crams them full of weapons and thats it- No engines!! Which really winds me up! I don't like designing ships but I hate having 2 mp ships alot more.

Lol my edit buttons gone and half the post went with it GRRRR... Anyways, What I was going to add to that was the question should be not Will america always be a superpower but whether it deserves to be one? Note I am aware thats a bit of a kettle, pot moment. But the point still stands O yeah and then I had a rant about how Bad and Socialially conroling Americas popular culture is, So I am glad that went missing(Can you tell I'm slighlty tippsy).

Did you know 1 % of the American Military budget could pay for every family in Africa to have mosquto nets. And you claim to be a beacon of hope? I've never understood America's bloated sense of self rightessness. And don't get me started on that strange saluting the flag and swear allegence you FORCE YOUR CHILDREN to do EVERY DAY. And the langauge you use in class, 'Reading makes a strong nation'. What is that crap its he kind of thing I would expect to have seen in a National

Quote:[is not a old nation because] England (Parliamentary government in 19th century) no longer a real monarchy I cannot beleive this rubbish (no offence meant). England has not been sucessfully invaded since 1066. The power of parilment was established at the end of the Civil War(1649). All that this shows is the shift of power. Not a revolution there was no violence, nothing had changed for the working man and the same people where incharge after the event. Thus its sti

I think the flashing flags are a bit disappointing too. My only irrations with it is that: 1. Is there only meant to be one video, I remember reading sometime back that there was going to be many videos represting exactly what type of invasion you were doing. 2. In DA the two Advantage bars, dropped. However now only the opponents bar drops, which irrates me a little, beacue now I actually have to look at the numbers to see how well I'm doing. 3. Is there any chance fo

The only thing I use a terror star for is to take down a super power in late game. Like thouse damn Koraths. Just send in 25 constructors and build terror stars around there key planets. While they power up I assemble my strike force. And boom war one pretty much in turn one : ). And theres not even a diplomatic penalty for using them. That being said I only use my TS in about 1/9 games I play. As for giving races a TS i've tried that and every time i've done it they disbanded it

Hi, I recently booted up a game to see if the Ascension victory was working. After a few hours on a small map I had acheived the Ascension victory only to see the Defeat screen with no writing. And my score slashed from its normal 15-25k(I know thats not too high but at least its something) to a horrible embarssing 567pts. So I assume this means I Lost? I then loaded the Game, from a previous save, and won a Military victory which lo-and-behold&n

I think tech trading should be restricted somewhat. Some of it doesn't make sense. For example in my current game the Torains have abandoned using factories and are employing 'Slave pits', the Yor are spaming Stock exchanges and even some of the 'cannot be traded techs' like the Iconian 'molecular fabricator'(their super anti-matter plant thingy) is beign built on everbodies world.

Lol there was a BBC comedy doc about creating your own country presented by Danny Wallace. It was really funny. He basically turned his flat into his own country, gave a letter declaring independence to the then prime minister Tony Blair. And declared himself King. The country is called 'lovely', and has its own website- http://www.citizensrequired.com/unit/site/index.shtml

I have never really liked Star Trek, though to be fair I did like Deep Space 9. But I wanted to ask what people see in the series? The scripts are simple and predictable (especially the newer series), the story arcs never go anywhere, the Special effects are usually better than other comparative shows but other than that the shows just seem lack luster. When I was younger I used to watch Star Trek voyager and Star Trek Next generation, but i was always disappointed with how ev

Quote: it took 4 years to win that, 4 YEARS! Damn Americans first you arrive late TO BOTH WORLD WARS and then you have the nerve to state that the war was shorter then it was. ;p WORLD WAR 2 STARTED IN 1939 WHEN GERMANY INVADED POLAND So thats 1939-1945 So using the same idea was the Great War a one Year war? But anyway I think that the game has it right although its not realistic. It does however ensure that the game isn't too overly micromanagement h

As far as i am aware the only way of getting hydrogen in a usable state is by making it from petrol... So as I see it a pretty much pointless exercise the world is running out of energy(in a usable form for machines). Sorry to spoil your day but its true, great social change is coming its inevitable. Wars (more commonly know as bringing democracy to the middle east)are bound to spread. Over energy, space, food and water. Then there is the whole host of natural disaster to deal with.

On a gameplay level this is probably a bad thing to add. Just because of the micromanagement required and the time sink required. Imagining a huge war on a gigantic map with abundant planets! But on a realistic level invasions should take years. I mean even if the attackers do have stupidly powerful weapons like mass drivers and nukes/biological weapons. Then the defender will have similar things. So they have mass drivers so, the defender could have stupidly sturdy buildings or defence

Hi, Recently my copy of Dark Avatar has been suffering from some 'flickering' of the on game screen. Basically it happens when flicking between screens, i.e moving from the diplomacy window to the ecconomic one. What happens is the games gets stuck between the two and flickers between the two very rapidly. During this none of the other tabs work. This also happens whilst zooming out or scrolling. I don't know if this is a new problem with the beta or an older problem as i have

Generalisation is the key to understanding all things. If you brake it down into its components you will find that all things are essitally the same. I read a lot of science fiction, though it is more of the Brave new world type instead of the cheesy american babylon 5 style lets make random stuff up and hide it in fancy language. Which is what i assume you are into. And no it is not like a newspaper. H.G.Wells the founder of sci-fi defined it as a new mythology. Which is what i was ref

Spirtiualist noncenss. I think that these physicists work so hard and are so clever that their mind must react by inventing BS. Hence the birth of quantum physics. Lets get down to the bare facts. 1.Energy cannot live 2.It cannot be a conousness 3.Life is governed by biological mechanicisms without them you are dead even the simplest virus has mechansims. 4. Time is not something you can maniupulate as it does not truely exist only though are percep
