well when i tried it on the computer, the whole boot was messed up, the white was blue, the red was black. etc.

ok so i tried it and the color pallet was off. how do i fix that with paint or paint.net cuz besides those all i have is irfanview

ok so how do i upload the bootskin? i changed the prog bar to red, change the .ini to bootskin.ini. i just dont know how to save it as a bootskin. all any of the tutorials say is to create two bmp files and an ini so umm how do save it as a bootskin?

im gunna post a link with all the files, there are only 3, the background, the prog. bar, and the .ini file. all are in a folder on my computer. the whole process has been frustrating. so yea mind helping me get this darn thing straight? gah, no it did that to the prog bar too. though i got rid of it. let me try it again and i'll let you know how it works.

i meant 16 color 4 bit. my bad. and do you want me to upload all of what i did? cuz the tutorial only told me to make a progress bar, a 16 color 4 bit 680x460 background. and a file and save to .ini

ok so I've followed the tutorial. did everything it said to do. resize, change to 16 bit, make folder with other boot skins. but I just cant seem to get the darn thing to work. when i try to open it, it says "error could not load bootskin. possible cause is read only boot. or something like that. can anyone please help me with this. AIM is cyberspacemonk3y. im trying to make this for my dads company
