yep, first thing I tried, but that does not explain why it works perfect with just the drivers. The enhacments are still avalible in the settings window, the only diff is it is a microsoft control panel not logitechs. Logitech also has a patch that supposedly forces the mouse to maintain the same button settings for games, tried that as well, with the same result. To me it seems that the replacement control panel from logitech is blocking the middle button changes, since with the driver

Update, the problem is with the Logitech software, which part I am not completely sure. But, I removed all the logitech installed software and now the 3D rotation, and angle adjustments work normally. Now, what should I do? Contact Logitech, send another bug report in? GW Ok, more testing, If I install the mouse driver only, via update driver. All works normally, If I install the full Mouseware 1.79.1 the rotating and angle adjustment via the scroll wheel do not work.

I have waited and played beta .31 now since release and have had only one problem that is repeatable on at least 2 different systems. The problem occurs if a auto popup screen like research finishing. For approx 4 turns the enter key on either position does not activate the turn buttonf. Size of game, contents of game, length of game do not seem to change this. It has happened on both and XP pro and a Windows 2000 pro systems. Have not found any error traping for this, so I have no way

I have run into an issue with my Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard, or at the moment I assume the problem is with my keyboard. So, here it goes. I use the enter key to advance the time, mouse clicking gets painfull after an hour or so, what happens is, if I get an galactic news popup screen, for about 10 turns my enter key, neither the main one or the one on the number pad, will not advance the game. About 7 or so turns later, I will get a planet announcement or a finished research window. after

Have not had that problem on either system I am playing on. Once I delete a building I then click on another open space and the building is avalible to build in the new location. Don't know if it is a bug or not, I think you have to take the focus off the spot you deleted the first building before it allows you to build it again. ? GW

well, let's see. Check your start Menu properties by Right clicking on the start bar, then selecting advanced. I am hoping that XP Home has access to the administrative tools group, if it does if you scroll down the list of displayed start menu Items, on should be administrative Tools. Select show in all profiles and see if you start menu has that group in it. Off hand I don't remember the name of the MSC command, will look it up tonight and post it if you are unable to find it. Where did you get your version of Sp2. I tried using it when it first was released via download from Microsofts site. Found out that my router access gateway was reporting that my router was disabled, i.e. the internet gateway. If uninstalled the sp2 it started working again and I was able to access my MMO's. After 2 months of working with Microsoft, they sent me a orig copy of XP pro with Sp2 included. I haven't had a problem since, what your discribing is close to my problem. Also, if y

Windows has a known bug, that will allow drivers to install, but on reboot will revert to the prevous version. I can't remember the fix for it, been awhile since I have seen the problem. If I remember correctly, after inital install if the version do not match, reinstall. Windows should not prompt reboot, if it does cancel it if you can and then try the game. Glenn

Doing a DXdiag /help the only. I also went up to my technet page and did a search for DXDiag commands, and any other way I could thing of using, but nothing dealing wit

According to Microsofts explanation, the heap is system memory that is used and reserved for program usage. This value in Xp and Windows 2000 is a registry entry that determines the amount of system memory a program can reserve for it's usasge Glenn

Well, tried everything you mentioned. DXdiag reports DirectX is 9.0c. I am able to run all tests DirectDraw and Direct3D with no errors reported in any of the 3 directx interfaces. I could not find a way to uninstall DirectX on the Win2k system, and they just updated the system to SP4. So this morning I tried running the game again and got this exception message: Stardock SmartException Logging Information ------------------------------------------- OS Version : Wi

FYI, yesterday a worm was released into the internet. PC's that had not been upgraded with the newest Microsoft patchs were in danger of infection. The issue with this worm, is you don't have to do a thing to get it. If it finds your PC on the internet, it downloads itself and infects the PC. ABC's whole network was taken down by this worm. Unless you are working through a router or very tight firewall, you could have become infected and not known it. Re

Dyson sphere were speculated in Star Trek, I don't remember the number of the movie, but scotty was rescued from the transporter buffer. Star Wars used the idea of a Dyson Sphere for the basis of the Death Star, of course it was scaled down to a resonable size for an advanced civ. Asamov and Larry Niven both hypothisised the size and amount of material needed to build a sphere, Niven instead used the Ringworld concept instead. It has been said that to build a

well, looking at the.err file shows no errors in graphics or sound. Here is the contents of the Debugg.err file.
