Currently the game is still in beta and not officially released. Hence no mod section has been set aside yet.
8 is rather scimpy, especially when playing a larger map. I hope they make it easy to create our own.
They will. The devs even consider it a very important feature of the GalCiv franchise and aim at improving it over GalCiv2.

The major/mega buildings thing is a bug. Its well known. Idle ship is annoying and I understand they are working on that. I think the population thing will have be fixed in the Beta 2 when it comes out. I know other things will be. There are a lot of typos currently. I think there is a thread (if not there should be) for those.

If you want an attempt on a mobile version I might be on board. Still up in the air about mobile games. They still seem too simplistic for a good 4X. In the future though, you may want to word your proposals more carefully.

Yep, you are going to need to upgrade your computer to 64 bit. banned for not upgrading your computer :P

So this is what you wanted me to support? Hmmmmm. Well lets see. First I am against the dumbing down of humans so dumbing down a game just to get more customers is IMHO wrong. Sorry can't support there. As to women? Well they are just as intelligent and capable as men. There is no need to dumb it down for them. Most don't play these games because they don't want to. Sorry, cannot support you man.

1. Agreed. I see it fine but I have a 40" screen. 2. I wouldn't be surpised if they did this. After all, they currently only have one way to get the points and they plan on adding more. 3. They plan on adding defenses already to shipyards.
Dear Support, I'm using the Beta version of GalCiv III and i see that there is a patch ready, but somehow i did not get it downloaded? I've read that i should rightclick GalCiv III in Steam and the use the dropdown menu, but somehow this does not work here. Who can help me with this problem? Kind Regards, Numan Hint: perhaps

In the last dev video even the devs said it was a major issue that will soon be corrected. Unfortunately it may not be until the major update in October.
Is this (consume all available resources) the expected memory and processor profile of the final version of the game?
Doubtful as they will be doing a lot of trimming the fat as they release/build more of the game. It was actually higher in the Alpha for me.
These are the same notes from last week. Did it take two downloads to implement these changes?
Last week was a beta run of the update where you could opt in. Which apparently you are opted in. This week is the official release of an update to the main Beta. No changes were made between the two.
It's also worth mentioning that, while farms are a good measure for alleviating approval issues, eventually the planet reaches max pop again, and there's only so many hexes. Hopefully by that time you've managed to research more advanced morale-related techs.
More people also increases the amount of money you can make on the planet. When the planet's income starts to go over its costs (maintenance for all

11 Replies 21,176 Views

You wealth income is 46.9 and your maintenance is 53. That is lowering your wealth quotient in relation to approval. On the other hand, it is a bit too high but that's not unusual right now as things are still being balanced. Edit: A solution would be to build more farms. Farms produce more population and population improves all things (Wealth, Research, Manufactorying) with less cost. This would help as well.

My thought is, "Why would you build so many in such a small area?" While starbases are useful in strategic areas, such as near a large planet or collection of several planets, key defense areas, etc., to build them all sprawled out like your picture there is indeed a waste and tedious. Not that I wouldn't mind a minor range increase in base range.

8 Replies 42,435 Views

Not sure if this is more of a feature than a bug. This is the way they were in GalCiv II as well. A way to look at it is that the range is how far they will go without seeing anything but if they see something, they will push the limits of the ship to reach that area.

It would be nice if each race had its own weapon style. As for unique weapons, it sounds nice but increases the balance problems that the game sometimes has. I think some support modules being unique is a more reasoned approach. That way you could have a more diverse approach. Drengin and other evil beings could have something that could enhance weapons in some way, while Altarians and other good races could have something the enhances defenses. Terran and the pragmatic/neutral could have mod
