I too have this problem. It is just completely amazing. I don't have a restore point I can go to and I don't have the time to do a reinstall of Vista. I guess I can try the Stardock Central method. I don't really care for Impulse, anyway; that is assuming I can even get it to load.

Hi, My main problem with this theme is the buttons. I haven't had any problem with MyColors or the themes themselves. I don't mind the MyColors application. The WB files even show up in WindowBlinds UI so I guess you can apply them separately. (I haven't tried yet). Have a look at this image: . I can't see half the text. Other themes are fine. What's up? - Fred

Evernote.com. If I tell WB to ignore it then it is fine. The software that my company develops and sells does this too. Unfortunately, I can't get you a copy of that. I know for a fact, though, that we use a non-standard control library. Thanks for your assistance.

Another thing I noticed is some menus are funky. Any idea? I have decided that I like this too much to not use it. Let me know what you think about these screen shots.

Hi, I sometimes can sound more harsh than what I mean too. I apologize for that. It seems that I may have been wrong about the selections. I usually keep mine in list view and the color of the boarder was light for that view. There really isn't anything wrong with it though. As for Visual Studio, notice the text on the very left shrunk tabs. Look at this before and after: Before: After: [im

does anyone else have a problem with the auto shrinking tabs in Visual Studio 2005 Professional. In Aero they look fine yet in any other skin the text on the tab can not be read. It looks like a color theme issue but I find it hard to believe that every skin would cause this problem. I have even tried a per application setting to ignore Visual Studio and it still happens. The only recourse is to switch back to Aero. I have paid for OD for two years

First, I will say that I do like this skin. However, saying that it has high polish is going a little overboard. To me, having high polish means that it works just as well as the standard Aero or Luna themes (depending on OS) for all applications. I have yet to find any WB theme that works completely. I find this extremely annoying. I want to love this Elegance theme but the effects when selecting files in Windows Explorer are horible. I can't tell what is selected half the time. The othe

Thanks for the response. I realize that the first sentence you highlighted may be mistaken for putting down other peoples work. I did not intend on that. I do appreciate others works. Many of the ones I would not install myself are better than anything I could put together. I have a feeling my issue is more an issue of my WB install than anything. I will reinstall and give it another shot. I had to previously disable WindowsFX because of shutdown issues similar to those posted e

Hi, If I would have looked at this forum and had been honest with myself, I would not have put down the money I did for WindowBlinds. In reality I purchased the full Object Desktop. I have yet to see a single skins that I didn't have to pay for that was either buggy or just not that pleasant on my eyes. I understand that different people have different tastes, and I can live with that. I also don't mind paying for a suite if I need to. The new Argos suite lo

I was refering to the sdctray.exe application. For what it is worth, I did find out to not load it at start up. I realize now also how to remove it. I would prefer not to. Being a developer myself, I would prefer to help them fix the problem. The error is: sdctray.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. The debug file contains: <EXE NAME="sdctray.exe" FILTER

What is the purpose of this try and how do I disable it without going into msconfig? Every time I click on it I get an error message. Is the purpose to show us how an application can crash every time you click on it. I have most of the StarDock ObjectDesktop applications installed just fine without any problems, except for WindowsFX, which I posted about on another thread.

Thanks. That worked. I can't believe I forgot to look at all of those settings. By the way, any idea why some skins don't give the ability to double click on the system menu to close the window. I have been in the habit of doing it, but in just about every skin, not all, this doesn't work. Is this an easy change via SkinStudio? Thanks again. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" bo

I use RSSBandit as my feed reader. I have to create a per application do not skin for it as the tool bars render black. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem that when I launch a link from RSSBandit in IE or Firefox, either one is not skinned. Does the per application setting carry over to applications launched from the application that has a per application setting? Thanks.
