Game crashes before it loads in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I can pick race, map, etc. When I hit start I get the "has stopped working" message from windows. I am using Windows 7 64. Any advice? Thanks!

I had a problem deleting custom factions. Whenever I logged into Steam the deleted factions/heroes would reappear. Is this still the case?

The last two games I played I killed the ice guy when he wandered into my territory. It seems, when you kill him out of his domain, the land never becomes fertile. It happened with a house and custom sovereign. Hurt my back, medicated, hope this makes sense.

I was playing chapter 6 of scenario after beta patch. It is overwriting both the auto and previous auto save at the same time as well.

I too fell that you need more control over your cities. I am hoping it comes in time. I never purchased a TBS game on opening day before, tons of MMO's over the years though, and you know how they are at launch.
