I hope you incorporate some of the building techniques that Kryo used in Gal Civ 2. Being able able to merge multiple hulls and parts made for a lot of versatility in ship design. His method was far better than the default.
Overall I like the online distribution of games through steam.
I was very reluctant about the whole idea of using Steam, but now that I've had some experience with it I kind of like it. It makes it very easy to get my hands on a game. These days, retail stores have next to nothing as far as computer games goes. My local EB Games has just a small shelf devoted to them, and they tend to only carry the latest blockbust

And yes, I don't know where all that crap after "by Plus-HD-1.3" came from. Certainly not from my post. You might be better off just formatting your drive
What if I want to play it on a computer without internet and Steam?
You set Steam to offline mode. It doesn't require an active internet connection to function. I played Fallout New Vegas for a couple of years without having any sort of internet at all. I still play all my Steam games in offline mode, only going online if I want to buy a game or check one of their forums. You really should find out how things actually work before

That's why security companies like Norton and McAfee have become multi-million dollar corporations. Yes, I was reading how he was going to make good use of multi-threading capability. The AI was definitely a disappointment in Twilight of the Arnor, it did much better in Dark Avatar IMO. I guess they just couldn't quite get a handle on all those unique buildings etc. In one game I played, the Torians had a massive empire but almost all of their planets had little more than a Spaceport on it, including their home planet. And they had pitiful defences for them all. They were my main compet
I think if you liked Civ4 and 5 you will like it.
I agree. While I haven't played Civ 5 at all, I see a number of similarities between GalCiv2 and the Civilization series in general. So if you liked those games, you would probably enjoy the GalCiv games as well.

I just came across the news that Gal Civ 3 is in production. You can count on me for a copy, I thought you did a fine job with Gal Civ 2. Though I'm a bit disappointed in looking at the screenshots to see that it will still be a flat universe. I was really hoping the next edition would have a 3D universe rather than have all the action take place on a single plane. And I really hope you put some extra effort into the AI, that was the main weakness in the last edition IMO. Especially with
