Please please please change the auto upgrade selection for techs to default to off. I hate changing that for every one of my colonies only to find one that is stuck upgrading a factory to the latest and it will take 70 turns.

Glad I read this, I was considering a purchase of Retribution but I will not if Crusade is required to make it work.
My colonies don't come full of people and factories when I colonize. Oh wait, I guess that is not a bug. Just a wish. [e digicons][/e]
Quoting DST1348, reply 12 so it would likely necessitate a subscription model for players.
I for one will find other games. I will not pay for a subscription model game.
Sorry for the ignorant question but what is meant by "endless projects"?
Did not know that was available. Thanks for the info. That is certainly an option but I am not sure I want that. But I will consider it.
If by classic you mean no DLCs, then that is what I have. This is regular Gal Civ 3 version 3.10, not Crusade, Intrique or any other additions.
I just created a post about this. I somehow did not see this one. I agree wholeheartedly that something should be done. I am ok with most of the suggestions but when I get to this state, the game becomes almost unplayable. It is so frustrating that I just quit and start a new game. Quite annoying. But it should be reasonable to not ask you for something to build if nothing is available to build but the issue might be that there are things available but you
I had a similar issue with an older PC. I never found exactly what caused it but upgrading seemed to fix it. I suspected my very old graphics card but never found a way to prove it. I know that is not very helpful but it is what it is.
I have a gigantic universe with abundant worlds. Since that makes for a large number of colonies, the game time has lengthened to the point where most colonies have built everything they can. Some are limited by my resources such as I could upgrade a building if I had more durantium or similar but the only available thing to build for many colonies is research or wealth aid. What this leads to is that no matter what governor I have running the colony, it keeps asking me what
Banned for enjoying being humped on the leg.

Banned for, well everything.
Banned for using the word phrenology.
For those old enough to remember... Banned *.*
Banned for playing Gal Civ 3 or any other Gal Civ or any game that Frogboy had anything to do with.
How about you get a minimal amount of food with the capital. Each tile has a certain amount of food capability which would work as a multiplier for whatever food building you put on it. Some tiles are real low or zero (desert or similar) and some are high (good farmland). As you build food capable buildings on it, you get more but based on the original food capability. So a desert planet will have few tiles that can make food and each one does not have a high capabilit
It seems that bugs are an issue that everyone is concerned with. I don't think the program is overly buggy but I have seen some as well. I have done a fair amount of programming, not on the level that Frogboy does, but enough to understand difficulties and needs. One need is to report bugs since knowing a problem exists is a necessary first step in fixing it. But I am guilty of not doing it when I find things. I always say I will save the game later and send some
I recently had several planets that were invaded by a "lesser" opponent. I was defeated and was unsure why. It looked like my tech was significantly better. I had all of the invasion protection that I had built on the planet. I had plenty of people and the invader only had one transport with 2.5 population. So this raised the question of how the math works for an invasion. I know the generalities of how it works but does anyone know the specifics of
Much of what I am going to say is generalized and can change some depending on how you write the program however, programs do not work like that. You do not assign an amount of memory and all of it is used. Basically the program asks for memory as it needs it. For example when you create a variable of type integer (a number), you get an integer amount of memory assigned. Different memory types use different amounts of memory. As the game gets further along, more

I have found what I consider a minor bug. I have a starbase that is sponsored by a colony that is too far away to use for populating a transport. But if I send a transport to the starbase already populated, when I eject the transport, I am told it will be empty when it is in reality full. I would have shown the images I snipped but this stupid post popup does not seem to allow an easy way to insert an image from a file. <img src="C:\Users\Buddy\Documents\Shi
That works but I know I somehow had it latched on recently because I did not have to hold the key. Regardless, thanks.
How do you make the small popup box that shows the distance in moves and turns to show up? I see it sometimes but obviously have done something to turn it on but don't know what.
Frogboy, I personally like the wheel and use it. I also agree with making the AI optimize it to its benefit as a way to improve its capability rather than getting big bonuses. As I understand it, the main thing you seem to have a problem with is the ability to create situations where an unrealistic amount of research or production can be obtained using it. In that case I would say fix that, not remove the wheel. Removing the wheel would seem to be a case of throwing ou
