I agree, the graphics are underwhelming but I assume they will get better, at least I really hope so.

For me, I knew that when I engaged in battle I shouldn't expect to see any battle animations. Therefore I knew my ship or their ship would just disappear. So there was no need for me to create such a thread as this one. Pretty clear from where I'm sitting and at this point (being an alpha I mean) I'm not expectin
If a research topics name is longer than a single line it doesn't display correctly, you lose the top half of the first line and the bottom half of the second line. The space where the name is displayed needs to have it's height resize based on the text displayed.

I thought the same thing, peeked about the forums and found exactly that. Galactic Civilizations III Alpha Mini Manual - https://forums.galciv3.com/452714[/quote] That isn't a list of thing
I agree, if you don't have real insight into the development its better not to claim what state something is in.

I have one with a blank background as well, I took it over via influence.
Works for me as well. When an enemy ship comes near the game tells me that my ship in sentry mode is now idle.
Not sure, it doesn't tell me. My ship is still there and theirs isn't. In this day and age there should be some sort of animation or tactical combat screen or something.
Some planets look like they have their name or some other text flash over them at the end of the turn processing. Its generally to fast for me to read what it says so I don't know if its the planets name or something else.
Same here, enemy ships don't seem to attack, they launch from their planet and just sit there.
Nothing happens when I engage in combat, it asks me if I want to do combat and then the other ship just disappears.... Seems really underwhelming.
My survey ships are going to new items that I have not discovered yet. Seems odd, how would they know something is there if I have not found it yet?
