Took the opt in for a spin. Vulkan is working so far, looks like I'm getting a performance increase but still unable to select mGPU, also running the benchmark only shows one of my 2 GPUs active. Perhaps Stardock can give an official comment on a time frame (weeks/months) as to when we can expect Vulkan to use mGPUs?

Yea I was gonna submit a support ticket about this as well but it looks like the proud canadian has already let stardock know about this bug. I'm also seeing assault fighters spawned by the first unlocked carrier module being assigned a guardian role as well as the interceptor drones spawned by the more advanced carrier module being assigned guardian roles. Obviously I was expecting the interceptor drones to target and take out ships with the 'guardian role' but that doesn't happen sinc

Ah I see, OK, so the only 2 options are the Aid Economy' and 'Aid Research projects? Also, in the Tech tree, zero gravity construction shows 'ship construction civilization priority' in the tool tip. What does this mean in practice? seeing as you can't build 'Aid ship construction' projects. edit: looks like Tasilos replied before I had a chance to reply lol

In Gal Civ 3: Crusade, on the planet screen, I have the option to build an 'Aid Economy' project and an 'Aid Research' research project but no options to build an 'Aid ship construction' project. Is it possible to do this or not because I can't seem to find it or any other types of projects like population growth and influence for that matter...
question for you. What is the attraction for GoG. Never used it. Steam seems to work well.
GoG's EULA is much more consumer friendly than Steam's, which is one of the reasons why the games sold there are DRM free. For example, I can install a GoG copy of GalCiv 3 on any PC I want without needing to use a client, which is a great choice to have [e digicons]:)[/e] Also, it's important

Hey Brad thanks for posting this, it's great to be given this sort of insight [e digicons]:)[/e] I'd like to hear more about your thoughts on this part of your post:
The reason I bring these things up is because when you build things (and destroy buildings) it actually deforms the terrain in real-time and that is very very expensive (and it gets more expensive the bigger the map and more players you have). So anyway, this

Yeah, sometimes! However, I face the webcam the opposite way and put on my tinfoil hat so's nobody can read my mind to find out that I'm nekkid. Nope, there ain't gonna be any naked images of me going viral and breaking the internet... and believe me, they WOULD break it. I have enough shattered bathroom mirrors to attest to that fact.
What psychoak means in the comment above....is that curved screens are only good for people who live lonely, sad lives on their own...[e digicons];)[/e] There is only one 'sweet spot' where the viewing quality is improved. All other viewing positions are actually worse...[e digicons];)[/e]
lol
Curved screens do have an advantage, but they don't work because they're a brain dead application. Particularly true for LCD's, when you're watching a TV from an angle, you get a color shift, there is the glare issue as well, but that can be mitigated. Color shift happens across the screen because you see it from different angles, this problem is magnified as the size of the screen increases

Thanks for the replies guys [e digicons]:)[/e] About the curved screens, yea, I've seen an advert that essentially says that because our eyes are curved then curved screens provides a more realistic experience! I don't even know where to begin with that one lol! I think I'd probably prefer flat, although if I had the choice to make it curve when I want, like that obscenely priced LG OLED model then I'd be fine with that as long as I'm

OK, so there's a lot of information out there about 4K TVs, home cinemas, amps, speakers etc. I think I've got a basic overall understanding of what I need/want, but I'm still a novice at this, so would like to see what you guys have to say :) The plan is to connect a 4K TV, AV receiver/AMP, 7.1 speakers and PC. I may connect some other stuff late

Thank you everyone for taking the time to post your reply's here, it's greatly appreciated [e digicons]:)[/e] On the off chance that anyone else is reading this/is interested, I'll mention that most of the software that I've tried works quite well, although some are more clunky and limited than others. I found Dexpot to be among the better ones (thanks moshi). I'll also mention that I use Deskscapes and Fences, and so fa

If anyone else is feeling generous with their time, reading your thoughts on any virtual desktop software you have used would be greatly appreciated [e digicons]:)[/e]

Hello everyone, I've been looking for some software that allows me to create multiple desktops aka virtual desktops on the same PC. For those of you that may be unfamiliar with this, I'll try to explain what I mean in a way that hopefully makes sense. <span style="font-size: medium;
