I have same problem with space miner getting stuck in first field after mining. Also could not move miner out of field even by mining manually instead of using automatic setting.

Reply to Disappearing End Turn Button!!! in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

While playing TA Beta3a Turn button disappeared often casing me to keep saving and reloading game. I found this happening after a battle sequence and so I chamged battle setting from normal to quick battle. This stopped the Turn buttom disappearing and I was able to finish game.
