Congratulations! I'm pleased to see Impulse doing so well, Steam needs the competition and, frankly, you're the superior platform from a non-intrusiveness standpoint. Expand that catalog as much as you can, if a game is available at the same price point on Impulse and Steam it's an easy decision in your favor IMO.
I understand all the concerns with race balance for an RTS, but it just seems a little pointless -- at least thematically -- to be having diplomatic relations with carbon copies of the same 3 races. It hurts the epic vibe of the whole thing. If they want to add the title 4x along with the RTS moniker, then they better understand all the baggage that comes with that. One of theses bags is definitely more races. 4x g

More than anything else mentioned, really, I miss real manuals in PC games. Most console games are simple enough creatures that it isn't a big deal not to have a manual, but PC strategy games are frequently complex enough to require their own textbook. That they no longer include one is sad indeed.
Aren't there already five B5 movies?
Six. TNT commissioned 4 when the bought the series, 3 of which are ok and one of which ("In the Beginning") is actually quite good. The Sci Fi channel commissioned "Legend of the Rangers" as a potential launching point for a new series, it was an abomination of untold proportions. JMS then made a direct to DVD movie (originally intended to be the first of a seri

I would urge Stardock to take more inspiration from Baldur's Gate than from Planescape. Planescape's story was excellent, but the game play completely failed to compliment it. It's one of the few games I've ever played that genuinely would have been better as a novel. Baldur's Gate sought and found a superb balance of enjoyable gameplay and interesting story, of the two I enjoyed it far more.
Well, the 1.12 conversion was made by someone else, the original mod creator (Uzii) is long gone. So the OP may not be updated, but I do remember a link to the 1.12 version posted in the thread.
OK, I probably just missed it (twice, it's been that kind of week). Thanks!

That looks excellent, thanks Thousin. Annatar: I thought it explicitly said it wasn't updated for the current version, perhaps I'm confused. I'll have another look, thanks for your help.

I last played under 1.03, and traditionally used Sins Plus and LazySumo's minimal UI mod. It looks like both of these have fallen out of pace with game updates, is that correct? Any new equivalents that are up to date? I'm not looking for any huge game changes (I see the mod that has an updated Sins Plus but also adds new races and tons of other stuff), just something like Sins Plus that adds a bit more diversity to things. Thanks, Vin
I want to buy the Linux version of this game. Will it be available on Impulse when it is out?
Impulse won't run in Linux, will it? You can just buy it straight from 2dBoy (the developer) which gives you access to the Windows, Mac, and Linux (once it's released) versions all at once with no DRM of any kind.

Another long shouting match that could have been easily prevented by a note on the outside of the box explaining the registration system. I really don't understand why Stardock (whose licensing system is, IMO, very customer friendly and low stress) doesn't simply spell out that the license key is non-transferrable on the outside of the box so that no one in these situations can cry ignorance anymore.

I don't know if it's been rescaled since my time in high school more than a decade ago, but back then a 216 was certainly good enough (as others have said) for National Merit standing and a full ride to many state schools. Personally I had a 222 (easy to remember, or I'm sure I wouldn't) and had a full ride plus a semester stipend for books/food/whatever else. There's nothing better than having college pay for you rather than the other way around. :D
If I could have one wish from IC and SD regarding Sins, it would be for them to get a Babylon 5 license and make a Sins B5 edition. There has not been a real B5 game produced beyond a flop StarFury shooter that really blew big heavy chunks. The IP is over 15 years old now so JMS and Babyloian Products should want to do such a thing. Frankly I don’t know why a triple A title for B5 was never made but Sins is the perfect engine for it methinks. Now with all th
Best New IP is hardly something you can give to Sins - we don't have any actual backstory. Giving an award for what might be there is asinine. Game of the Year is semi-okay, given that their other selections are based purely on ad revenue. GTA4? Fallout 3? Both games that are complete failures on the PC, simply because the developer didn't spend a shred of time actually making it work on the platform. Most innovative sho
