I goto use Impulse to archive Sins and its expansions (WHICH I LEGALLY OWN) at a location where I can download them onto an external drive and Oh whats this! I cant archive the expanisons without having Sins installed. IMPULSE = LAME. Sorry stardock you just lost another customer.

Besides, GCII sells for $40USD. If you have played the game long enough to completely master it, then most likely you've probably gotten your money's worth. If you don't feel you have, you may want to examine what $40 buys in today's world. Dont worry I wont be making that mistake again and I dont believe the whole we wouldve had to

re: the limitations of the AI I laughed hard when I saw all the fan boys posting their anti multiplayer diatribes Im sorry but the AI has limitations - in fact calling it AI is even wrong - lets call it PR (programmed response) cause its clearly not intellegence - right Once you figure out the formula for defeating the AI (and there will be plenty of gamers who love this challenge) then thats it - you win - congratulations you beat the computer then i

On large to huge maps on anything other than the lowest graphics settings - this game performs like a pig. It becomes a slow glitchy wallowing pig. So much for the perty graphics - you'll be switching them off when you want to actually start playing the game.

Sadly the novelty factor has run down to a trickle for me and this game. Its cute but the limitation of only being able to play against AI opponents means the game has ceilinged - new campaign *yawns* - havent played the original one - care factor =0 more espionage - meh restrictions of planets colonising - more like MOO2 every patch was a shortcoming of the original the only challenge twinking micromanagement to outwit a number crunching machine - h

I am sorry to say this but your multiplayer polls are a load of bullshit. First of all the poll does not even remotely represent an accurate numbers of players who would purchase the expansion if it had multiplayer. You have already alienated the multiplayer gamers like myself who have no more time to waste coming to the site to see if you hired enough talent to actually p

not play evil !!!! hmm no one will suspect me of being evil as mere pond scum - mwa ha ha ha clearly its bugged - pond scum was my first game and now I cant get a rating - as you say maybe I need to play good so its got a contrast - BAH Good!! I guess itll be humbling to be the universal whipping boy for a game <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" bord

I think theres needs to be some differentation here when discussing MP. I agree that in the main TBS games should be centred around the single player experience. But when discussing the negatives of multiplayer its imperetive to distinguish between online MP and LAN MP. As far as online MP, I could not agree more that 80% of experiences will be unrewarding due to a) the complex nature of the games, b) the long time taken to play the game, and c)the fact that there are a large number of idiots ou

I thought you had some points re:MOO2 and some elements of MOO2 that are missing from GC2 BUT using RTW as an example of the future of TBS was an error. RTW was a definite step backward (in regards strategy and gameplay) compared with MTW and STW its predecesors. GC2 has way more strategy than RTW

I agree with the sameness of the races - this is leading to a sameness to the game experience and IMO the most limiting factor to the games replayability If there is anything I could change about this game it would be to make the races so they behave very differently in a game, and yes being able to exploit different worlds would be nice, and what techs they develop and how they expand and interact with each other then when you cu

I would like to see more distinct differences between the races, and the way they behave in game. yes being able to play other peoples customs races, and your own designed one would be cool, but for the custom races to be worthwhile you would need alot more traits and behavious to make them distinct, and they would have to behave differently in game rather than as it stands. Which is they sort of merge into a sameness - dealing with one is t

the thing is its being spelt wrong deliberately - to add more emphasis to the o's its a phenetics thing: I could call you a loser for being such an anally retentive spelling policeman or I could call you a looser - note the greater oo emphasis meaning you are a greater than average loser

You may want to look at the totalwar.org as far as utilizing this growing community of users both as testers, and moderators. in a recently released mod for RTW - the modders put the beta to the community which responded with zeal to both test, and document bugs, CTD's, and nice to have features - as far as I can tell its been working a treat of coarse only a few community members are going to have the knowledge to do this effecti

Sales and distribution - short answer yes but long answer Id say decreasingly so I did not know about GalCiv I in fact I had never heard about GC2 until I went to where I hear about all games that I like playing... the rome total war sub forum called the arena where RTW fans discuss other games - the guys on here are strategy buffs and fairly critical about what they like - This is the second game I wouldnt even have tried if I hadnt heard t

To MP or not to MP that is the question I understand all the SP specific nice stuff, and love a good SP game which has not sacrificed gameplay for some tacked on mp that said a shared experience is a good experience - and I would love to be able to play GalCivs 2 ala Civ4 MP with some mates over the LAN - it would be awsome as for internet bah I never play anything over the internet - too many no-life freaks trolling ar
