This happened to me as well. I was pragmatic and had a selection of minor races that shared my ideology. They were quite happy with me. Then, magically, I was an opposing ideology. I forget their names but one of them was that mouse-looking fellow and the other was a little octopus-like.
A button or a right-click menu on the ship designer screen to upgrade each individual and/or all of one type of weapon to its latest type, preserving position, rotation, and scale. Or to another type of weapon. Same goes for defenses. And engines. Heck, make it available for all the things that are capable of having newer things. My custom huge ship takes a good ten plus minutes to properly replace and re-position all the greebles! @_@ And if its a concern that newer eq
I'm uncertain if this is a 1.03 beta problem or a GalCiv3 problem in general.. but when you go to save templates and increment them with decimal points (eg. M0.1, M0.2, M0.3, etc), it doesn't save your current design. What happens is that the first design saves just fine (in this case, the M0), and every subsequent 0.x version doesn't save the changes. Reverting to a whole number scheme (M1, M2, M3, etc) has the designer function normally.
Patch 1.03 on Windows 8.1 doesnt fully kill the Galactic Civilizations game process upon quit. I have to go into the task manager and kill it manually. Other than that, plays just fine. d('-' )
