Can anyone tell me what the economic and research treaties do? I know it involves the exchange or sharing of research and economy, but what are the specifics of the arrangement? Thank you.
I have had this happen to me. I think it may have something to do with your people's morale- I chose an alignment option that reduced my morale quite a bit, and suddenly my popularity was 1%.

I often play on maps with very few planets, so sometimes I only have my homeworld and the other habitable planet in my system. I have this problem too, and it's awful. My carefully crafted plans are disrupted, my fleets dispersed, and my starbases destroyed. I agree with Tomalak- the problem can be resolved by clicking on a planet/sun, and then checking to see that the blue selection cursor is no longer surrounding your previously selected ship. I've met a race called the Vegans as well, but they only appear late in the game, generally colonizing some unsettled star system. Also, a few times I've played, a major race with an extremely low approval rating will have something of a civil war- the planets that are most unhappy will rebel, and form a new minor race, such as the Free Arceans, or the Brindlia.
The title and subtitle speak for them selves. Whenever i click download next to the CE it brings me to the new update's download page. Why can't i get it?

Is GalCiv2 based off of the shows Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis? If you look at the Yor Collective their history is like the replicaters. The Torians kindof look like the asgard. The reserch "Beyond Mortality" is like acsending. Then when reading about GalCiv2 they were constantly talking about the "Stargate". And there you have it, I think that is enough evidence.
