I have invested in over 20 games on Kickstarter, and I am happy with my return. As long as you understand that you are NOT an investor (you dont own a share of the company) and that all projects have risks, then you know what to expect. I have way to many early access games on Steam right now, but I would like to recommend one that I play every day. Rebuild 3 is FANTASTIC (dont know if it was ever a kickstarter though).

This Carrier thing is VERY important. Its vital that they dont "kill" the fighter fun for balance. Fighters should be part of a paper, rock, scissors thing. Powerful, but can be stopped by PD weapons or other fighters. A battleship with a few huge cannons should fall to fighters if not protected by other ships (or having lots of PD). I would love it if they found a system where a lost fighter would have to be replaced in a shipyard or just for a cost of some sort.

I dont want to control the battle :) I want to choose between stuff like tons of missiles or fighters. I want to mix a fleet with different tasks like carrier, battleship, frigate (to protect the big guns) and so on. Then I want to see it all play out (like Dominions or something)

Hi I have played a touch of Gal Civ II waaay back, and hardly touched Gal Civ III. So I know nothing about how war is intended to be in Gal Civ III. Is there a post describing how it will be when the game is finished (in general, not in full detail of course). I dream of trying to overwhelm point defense with missiles and launch fighters from my carriers. Maybe having a huge laser/plasma beam on a battleship that will

Since starbases cannot be moved and they can be overwhelmed, they will always have drawbacks. Still I dont see why one should not be able to upgrade a select few in the most important systems, in such a way that they can fight back against a fleet. I will be very expensive, it will take away resources that could have become ships but it will be very satisfying to watch them try to stop a fleet by themselves (and a few escorts/frigats). Long range missiles and tons of point defense sho

I have had the game for a while, but not really played much. I still dont get this minor nation thing. You can only have one taken into your empire, and you chose on the basis of which unit you want??

[quote quoting="post"] 1. What specific features of diplomacy do you traditionally like the most? I want you to be as specific as you can be. Which parts of diplomacy from any game do you like the most? What parts do you remember long after playing the most? 2. Looking back, how many turns do your favorite games last? This is important to know the specific number of turns the game in Question lasted. 3. Consider all The 4X strategy games that you have ev

I am also a huge CIV IV fan. Played it for years, but have stopped now. Dominions 4 have layers upon layers to try and discover and is my current favourite. Each nation is a different game. Its not well balanced, just full of FUN to discover. I was almost overrun by the undead in my current game, but discovered that I could get astral magicians that could summon flying level two priests. Took hours upon hours to turn the tide in my favor, but now they are gone. So

To me it would make the whole mirco thing fun, if there is something special on some of my planets. Something that doesnt come up every game. Something that can make me change strategy a little to take advantage of it. A well of souls :) that gives access to a special ability on ships built on that planet. An ancient defense mechanism that will fire three insanely powerful rockets on any enemy ship orbiting the planet. This works only once a
