I too like the medallion, now time will see if it will gain us respect from the galactic plebs.

BETA 1: TwilightArnor 1. Go to a "colony management" screen. 2. Click "Turn" until Number 3 below. 3. A colony ship arrives at another planet while still on the colony management screen. (In my instance, I received a screen where you select Good, Neutral, Evil) and then... 4. The current planet you are on will be correct, however the geographical blocks will be from the new planet. I did find this line in the debug code: Debug Message: StarportWnd: Cannot find OBJID StarPort_Planet_Logo_Image
GC2DA1.80b If I remembered correctly. There used to be a nice 3D image of a rotating planet in the bottom left corner. Now every planet renders as a blurred static image. Is this a glitch or am I missing files? Debug.err attached as external link.
It seems there was some corruption, when clicking 'uninstall' a dialog prompt came up saying there were errors and if I wanted to mark it as uninstalled for every module. I'm just doing an archive restore then updating to the latest.
All of a sudden, I am having an issue where some game elements are not displaying. Such examples are: 1. When selecting the size of the galaxy the stars are not rotating, just the backdrop. 2. GNN News anchor animation is missing and just a static 2D version is there. 3. the rotating technology artifact is not spinning, just a black square. 4. The planet on the splash page is not rotating. I am assuming these are pre-rendered graphics that are not displaying. D
I have learned and understand that once freighters are established on their routes that upgrading is pointless as far as engines are concerned; as they only move 1 grid per turn. However, before I came to this realization I created a new freighter with multiple engines. I decided to upgrade my entire trade fleet to the new freighters with a cost of 3000 bc or so to do them all. Once I agreed, the game deducted the credits and nothing happened. I did it again, and again the game took my mone
I put the link up on the site initially. You can play in windowed mode within the settings of GalCiv2. You don't need to use the windowing parameter in 3DAnalyzer
Using 3D Analyzer You can emulate the Hardware Limitation Caps to increase the number of passes that are done on the 3d models. Before using 3D Analyzer I had basically white ships with a blue line. Very boring. This is due to my video card limitations. However after using 3D Analyzer, I was able to enjoy the 3D ships in all its glory. I was worrying about a performance hit, but for my work computer with a low end card, I saw no difference! I hope this helps out some laptop and l
I replied to a different thread and somehow my answer came here. Message purged
When a trade window comes up and the AI Player wants to make a trade, you can't seem to exit out and look at the tech tree to determine if it is a fair trade. I suppose you could decline the trade, but maybe there should be an indicator displaying how low or high the node is for that technology or perhaps allow us to view the tech tree while in trade.
