I think that this is a brilliant Idea...I must say I always look forward to Brad's gameplay stories. This really will add a whole new dimension to the game. Can't wait..........

Or maybe you could build just one constructor for each starbase and they could travel back and forth between the starbase and the constructor's home planet. sort of like how trade routes work with the exception being it costs money to maintain and improve starbases. ((add modules))

Just thought I would mention a couple Ideas I've had while playing. 1. The ability to zoom in and out on the tech tree using the wheel or up and down arrows. It's seems I find myself trying to do this, especially when browsing the tech tree while its not opened all the way. 2. In the ship builder I think the ability to select multiple parts already placed on the hull in order to resize them at once would be cool. Maybe by highlighting the parts i

When a civilization takes over a planet from another civ, does the attacking civ gain the tech that was used on the planet, or none at all. I think the attacker should gain whatever tech that was on the planet. And as a added twist if your capital (home)planet falls first the attacker would gain all existing techs that the civilization had accumulated up to that point. What do you think. Definately would make you want to protect those planets.

Well as far as the colony rush goes, maybe they could add modifiers on the size of the galaxy as it relates to distance were able to travel. Sort of slow down the rush until certain things are researched etc...I think it would add to the strategy and force us to think about whats more important, getting more home worlds or focusing more on infastructure or both for that matter. This may only apply to small galaxies because the colony rush isn't as extreme when playing a huge galaxy.

Yeah me too. I received 3 Lucky Rangers within a short time period. Heck the Snathi called on me for help so I gave them one of my lucky rangers. They used it, fought off the immediate threat, then began a reign of terror on my allies so of course I had to then fight the snathi or risk losing my allies... So lesson learned. Never help those E-V-I-L Snathi or reap the rewards of your kindness......lol <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd

Hmm. Sounds like a cool Idea. Maybe not something that would be implimented on a large scale. But even if it were a random event. Or maybe if a single ship left untouched or by itself for too long could run the risk of capture. I don't know, good idea though.
