For those of us who have taken a break from the forums.. what is the lifetime founder? What build do we get by entering the code (final build, a beta)? Will the release build download and overwrite this build automatically in two days? Will the release build break saves from this build? Just wondering if I should wait, or start playing now. :D

I am happy to hear the AI updates will continue. With that said, I have no issues with the new update plan. :D I also think it may be beneficial to have more time to polish the game updates. Sometimes it has felt like things are just being "slapped" onto the game. Having time to fully incorporate, balance and polish new features will help with the "wow" factor as much as offering more new features at once.

Brad, Will there be AI enhancements post 1.7 or will this only be offered in DLC and expansions..? Outside of the starbase/constructor spam being the primary source of anti-fun (I so can't wait for this to be addressed, my wife will never see me again..! :)) there are definitely some weaknesses in the current AI and I'd hate for some ungrateful twerps to mean it will go long periods without updates.

It is too bad the starbase update isn't going to be in 1.6. That is probably the one tedious part of the game that prevents me from that "one more click" we all love about good 4X games. The fix sounds perfect though and I look forward to 1.7! I am still excited about the AI updates in 1.6..! If you are happy with the improvements then I know I will be! Thank you for the update!
