Yep, it's a pretty fantastic game. There are some bugs and it's in dire need of a 'Civlopedia' type feature, but at it's core it's one of the most fun turn based games I've played yet.

I ordered the boxed version from Stardock and it was only $44.95. In the email it stated I would have the game shipped to me shortly, so I hope I wasn't supposed to pay anything extra. I didn't see an option to.

Wow, the screenshots really don't do the engine justice. That looks fantastic. I love all the little effects like the ships hovering in place and the visual representation of orbiting moons/planets. Would love to see more videos. Thanks for putting this up.

Civ IV is a great game, but the engine was poorly optimized. I'm hoping GalCiv2 runs a bit better on my machine.

I'll be running the game on a pretty ancient machine.... AMD Atlhon 1.2ghz processor 512 DDR Ram ATi Radeon 9550 PRO Hopefully it will run smooth at 1024x768.
