Addendum - not being to mod factions by xml seems excessively frustrating for a game that is supposed to be moddable. *planetary queue - should be alphabetized by default with other ways to sort by toggle. *shipyard queue - ditto. Atk / Def / Ship type / etc.

I too agree. I feel like I overpaid for this "game" by at least forty US American dollars. This should have had a longer test period and polishing period. Too much to correct on what should not be re-inventing the wheel. There is GC2 to compare to is it not?

I have played several games. Ok, more like 30. I am sick and tired of overzealous rush to colonize planets in my influence and starbases for resources. One thing I realized is that the AI for some reason gets to tell you dismantle starbase x or else, but the player cannot tell the AI the same thing. I am equally frustrated and you have much more eloquently pointed at some of it. I know a blanket "this sucks" won't work but its like a learn curve all over again to play the game. So thanks for this post.

Without having to entirely re-write or re-code the game for android, perhaps this is do-able enough to do? I mean the new alpha centauri game, Beyond Earth can do it, so why not ? I was going to say waste of taxpayer dollars the trial was. But that's not the kind of justice system I believe in.
