i re-checked all the boxes now what kind of hint am i looking for..perhaps a message window with info on it about the file ? it looks like i created a folder from hell !!!!

yrag ... i tryed deleting the file but that f#@$%* wont budge i did everything you said too...by the way windows seem to be running ok even though i deleted stuff from the registry, should i doubble click on the backup reg i created to restore any problems before they accurr ???

that didn't work.... -my guess is it's XP's built in zip holding it.!!- this file is not in a zip format but an .exe sitting on my desk top and i think explorer.exe its holding on to it ...... along with other programs i need open to run windows correctly

no is not..i went back to the page where i found the widget , by the way is called glassy recycle bin it comes with two of them..now i was under the impression that i had to change the file type .zip to .exe when i just noticed it came like that inside the zip file itself . so i think the problem is both small and big glassy recycle bin are stuck together in one .exe file which i doubble clicked..and now stuck on my desk top for life <img src="http://

but i did a bit of research reading forums with the same error message which led me to download this software called - mst IsUsedBy - and found that my explorer.exe has a hold on it....now how can i possibly get my eplorer.exe to leg go of my file ?

under safemode i tryed deleting it from my desktop and got the error cant delete file message so i ctrl+alt+delete and hit the process tad in windows task maneger but i did not see the name of the file in there...hhmmmmm...

i went into application data and found only the microsoft folder nothing else... i think its because i uninstalled descktopx ..untill i fix the problem..

i click to download this widget called 2 glassy recylcle bins and then it asked me where to save it at,so i saved it on my desktop as a .exe file cause i notice all of the widgets i had downloaded before had the same extention (.exe ) OK. fine..so i doubble click on the file after it downloaded and notice an ms-dos window open and close, but nothing else happen after that....now !! im still trying to delete this file but i can't cause windows keeps tel
