Thank you, Gauntlet. I loaded 8.5, deleted the Intrigue folders, and the game is working great! Thanks again for a job well done!

Thanks, Gauntlet. I searched my PC for the GlobalDefs file and didn't find it. Then I searched using Global*.* and found some Civ5 files but nothing for GalCiv3. I validated the GC3 files and still didn't find it. So this morning I uninstalled GC3, deleted any remaining GC3 folders, and am reinstalling it. I'll load version 8.5 tonight and follow the directions to make it work without Intrigue. I'm using Windows 8.1 so maybe that's my problem. GC3 was working, just without
Hello, Gauntlet, thank you very much for your mod. I have 3.0 and Crusade but not Intrigue. I have download 8.1b but it doesn't seem to be working (I've included part of the debug file below). Any idea what I am doing wrong? I take it that I need to buy Intrigue to make 8.5 version work. I'm kind of tired of buying DLC's and was happy playing GRM before 3.0 came out. After the latest update, Horemvore's Star Trek mod isn't working again. Plus, the link to his new mod location doesn't work. Any ideas?

With the latest update, Star Trek Crusades stopped working. Now what?
I must be dense. I didn't notice any issues in the Star Trek posts to indicate any reason for him to leave. Except that he was doing the developer's' job to add content. In any event, its a great loss to Gal Civ. The developers should reward him for doing such good work. If he created his own game, I would join in on a Kickstarter project.
Why were they removed?
OK, I set up a dozen games and one civ would crash the game every time: the Ferengi. The game would run with the following races, in various combinations, but not the Ferengi: Tellar, Vulcan, Andorians, Dominion, Klingon, Romulans, Tholians, Borg, Cardassians, and Breen. Hope this helps to narrow down my problem.
I'll mix try a dozen or so tests tonight to see if any civ is the culprit. But I did delete the file you referenced and it still wouldn't load.
The ones that are standard for a Huge galaxy with tight clusters: Star and Planet Frequency - common, Extreme Planet Frequency - occasional, Habitable Planets - common.Myself and 9 other civs. Game crashes soon after the galaxy starts spinning.
I didn't load all the Star Trek civilisations, just 8 or 9. I like a more empty galaxy so I can expand before I meet others players. I don't use random selection .
No, I stopped using minors. I couldn't talk with them so they were just using up habitable planets. I did load the Larry Niven cat species but unsubscribed them a while ago.
Mr. Horemvore, I can run a ludicrous size galaxy in Vanilla GC3, but Huge will crash Star Trek Crusade.
barrybeal, that error message happened to me. Under the GC3 Library listing, check out Properties than Local Files. Then validate your game files.
How do you run a vanilla game once you install Crusades? I still can't run a game larger than Huge.
I'll try that when I get home from work.
Calling The Incredible Mr. Horemvore! AVG continued to interfere with GC3 even after excluding the steamapps folder entirely. I deleted AVG and installed another antivirus software, and GC3 runs now. I do have a questions about galaxy size. I can only run Large galaxies with my system and I think it should run larger ones. After setting up a new game, that game won't start unless the galaxy is Large or smaller. My system specs are: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit , Intel i3-6300
I installed a fresh version of GC3 with Crusade on a new PC. It ran fine in vanilla. I loaded the ST mod and turned on mods. I then received an error message before the game started up. It read that the GC3/Tools/Crusade_CampaignCompilerMod.bat file is corrupt. However, this file seemed familiar - it turns out that my AVG antivirus software had quarantined it and the same base game file. I turned off AVG's scanning of the GC3 directory and the g
I did modify the Federation and did not choose a weapon trait. None of the other majors have advanced weapons either. Did my custom Federation civ mess it up for all civs? Also, is it possible to speak to the minor civs? Thanks again for your mod. [e digicons]:borg:[/e]
Thanks again for creating this outstanding mod! I'm using your latest version Crusade mod. I am playing as the Federation. My question is how to get weapons above the base ones and the laser? There is no research choice for phase cannons when I do a search for it. What have I done wrong?
I'm sorry to hear that. Anything we can do to help?
I tried playing this morning and got this error message. I used in-house streaming from a different PC last night and wondered if that caused it. C:\Users\ASUS-Z97-AR\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Mods\Star Trek - Core\Game\GalCiv3GlobalDefs.xml(1292,17): error: element 'DefaultCustomFaction' is not allowed for content model '(MaxNumTurns,CreditsAndPowerCap,DefaultTileMoveCost,MinTileMoveCost,ExploreTileRandomRange,MinManufacturingSlider,StartImprovementLevel,St
Horemvore, I would like to keep the anomalies defended, could you tell me exactly which file directory contains the file that needs to be modified? I know I need to uncomment the "Encounter" References from your post 394. Thank you!
Two files were missing and were replaced. But now the past 4 saved games won't run. Is that usual? Also, for the Federation unique wonders, I don't think they mentioned that they are one to a civilization. Again, you did a great job on this mod!
