ok.. found a solution to the problem.. Need to download the vista codec package.. 4.2.7 did the charm.

dreamscene/dreamscape decoding error in Animated Wallpapers WinCustomize Forums

I installed dreamscene, and got the following error. "Windows DreamScene has encountered an error. The video file format is not supported, or there was an error decoding this video file" I also got the same error before and after I installed DeskScapes. I can run a .wmv file fine.. Its the mpeg's that give the error, (such as the one that comes with dreamscene, as well as a *.Dream file.) Any fixes for this problem?

I got the same error before and after I installed DeskScapes. I can run a .wmv file fine.. Its the mpeg's that give the error, (such as the one that comes with dreamscene, as well as a *.Dream file.)

I have been having the same "Windows DreamScene has encountered an error :The video file is not supported,or there was an error decoding this video file" error. Has anyone found the solution to fix this? (running a radeon 9800 pro)
