It didn't seem like it was changing anything after I closed it, but it was running fine on my computer at work...just not here at home. I checked it, and the service wasn't running after it had been closed. But after I uninstalled, reinstalled, and rebooted, now the service is running after I close it the way it does at work. I don't know why. It's probably something I did screwing around under the hood with Windows 8's services that run on demand and a

Is there any way to run it at Windows 8 startup and not have it take up the default desktop? I've tried using the Decor8_64.exe & the Decor8_32.exe with the task scheduler set to run at startup, but no luck. I can get the Decor8Config.exe to run of course, but it takes up my default desktop leaving the Decor8Config program open with the Metro UI as my only other option. I can't figure out how to get Decor8 to run in the background changing the UI walls

IconPackager disappears from Impulse even if I go to Preferences and Reset Data. It might show up in the My Desktop listings for a second but then disappears along with a quick, barely noticeable message about it being incompatible or unavailable or something for this version of Windows (which is, in my case, Vista 32-bit). Does anyone know if it has been discontinued due to the "disappearing icons on uninstall" bug, or if it just a temporary thing until Stardock gets

I hope someone can offer some advice or help because I'm stuck. First of all, I have completely uninstalled all anti-virus and firewall software, and I've completely reset my router to the factory defaults. I had Impulse installed, and I could log in and access everything, but I couldn't download any updates to my OD programs...WB6 specifically. Within Impulse, I was able to change the Preferences to the new download mechanism and change the server, but I had the

Then lets put them back with this little bit of help and not worry about them being moved Thanks for the suggestion. I saw the registry "hack" earlier, and tried it out. It worked fine. I just wish I'd seen your message before I updated WB6 today Anyway, I've gotten everything ironed out with reg keys that I've exported for installations and updates, so I'll see

You know, I really really don't want all of my WindowBlinds skins moved to any other directory. There's a reason they are all where I put them. With over 300 skins at over 2.5 Gb, this is more than just a minor annoyance. I love the random WindowBlinds feature and the transbar stuff most of all in beta 6, but making me move all my skins to the same partition with my OS is unacceptable. I seriously may have to rethink renewal of my OD subscription - it's that big of a deal - it's not just

Basically, all I want to know is if anyone knows anything about a relatively easy way to randomize which skin is used by WB 5 each time Windows XP reboots (or whatever interval). Could there be a batch file that incorporates a command line function or something that I don't know about? Since there are so many great skins, it's absolutely impossible for someone like me to decide which one to use for any length of time. I really like changin
