Map size. I heard on a previous stream about the number of tiles the maps have in comparison to galvic2. What I haven't heard or been able to find is how many planets are possible?

For me Moo2 and GalCiv are the classic 4x games. I always thought Moo2 did combat better and GalcCiv did everything outside of combat better. I've always wanted a game that had the best of both. So for all those against tactical combat. Did you not like Moo2? I think most people will agree that once you got huge fleets full of dreadnaughts it was a pain, but I still enjoyed most of the battles. With the logistics in galciv and todays tech you wouldn't have those huge fleet battles tha
I like options myself. I would always start games with the combat viewer at 1x and watch the battle, then speed up, speed up some more, then quick battles. I would love it if there was an option added to have more direct control like Moo2...hopefully one that didn't take hours to complete :)

First I'm very happy to hear the news about galciv3! Can't wait. When it comes to my strategy games I am almost exclusively single player. There was a post I agreed with back in 2006, by Frogboy, talking about multiplayer and galciv. https://forums.galciv2.com/98074/page/25 Has the tech changed enough that multiplayer doesn't take as many resources as in the past to implement?
