I was having the same problem. I created my own character and was running against Hillary CLinton. Maybe thats the problem, those CLintons are always up to no good.! I will download the file and see if I can reproduce the problem.
I think the game should include sex and race. The voters should be broken that way too. If a female canidate is running that should have some impact. Appeal to black and hispanic voters should account for something.
I have the screen shot but don't know how to paste it here. My first game had Bush 269 Kerry 269. The computer declared Bush the winner.

Ok, I bought the game and played the beginner level. I won't offer a full review yet since I played it without reading the book. My first impressions are if you are looking for a simulator then this is not the game. I found the game fun and quick. Ok, thanks for the tips. One question not answered, Is the game fun and worth 19 dollars. I like doonsbury but sometimes did not want to spend a week playing a game. I agree it was tilted towards the democrats. I also agree it looks almost like the 96 version. I still have it and not sure I want to pay to get an updated version.

Ok, I am considering buying this game but have a few questions. One, is the game fun? I noticed you don't have 3rd party canidates. How does this game compare to the Doonsbury series and their upcoming Power Politcs III. I have read its not an election simulator but is it close?
I live in East Texas and can't find the game. I have checked Walmart, BestBuy,EBGames. No one has it and Best Buy didn't show it in their system as getting it. Is there a way to buy the 19.99 version downloaded version online? I am also worried about it not working on my PC.
