I'll call it a delusion if I want to, Dr Guy. My opinion is that your focus on the ethical questions of Clinton's office is vastly unimportant to the questions of Bush's leadership in the wrong direction and overstepping his Constitutional authority. Same with Cheney. Bush's administration has been no more ethical than the last one. They are politicians. Don't try telling me that Bush is clearly better than Clinton when it comes to running the show, because that

Ethical? I think you need pinch yourself and wake up from that delusion you're having. In any case, at least there wasn't all of this overstepping of Constitutional authority. That nonsense you refer to from the Clinton era also produced record low unemployment rates and a surplus, so please explain to me how a "going back" could possibly hurt the struggling America at present.

Again, Charles, this comes down to the fact that what you forsee happening due to people he has chosen will not necessarily happen. Look, just because the people who Obama has chosen have been in government before doesn't mean that it is not change. You're looking at the message wrong, or at least you must have been not paying much attention during the debates, speeches, interviews, etc. The message was clear, quit with the same old politics of the Bush administration.

You can't argue that his promise of change has not been met after only a short amount of time and due to the fact that he is
they'll go into protection mode and filibuster for the next two years.
And now you might sense that another question to be brought up from this is how can people then blame the democratic Congress for not getting much accomplished or even having a hard time getting the ball rolling? It's a problem within the Senate structure itself. We will hopefully be able to resolve crucial American concerns without the constant bickering, but when people
So where's the change he promised? Not one decision he's made thus far has anything to do with change.
Let me get this straight, he has to have conservative cabinet members in order to usher in some change? That isn't the way it works. Wait until he actually is in office before jumping to conclusions about change in how things work. Think of it this way, if you were ever a trainee of some sort or if you were hired because you could br

Tell us how you really feel. Rampant raving will get you nowhere. Especially when it is unwarranted as this is. He hasn't even taken office yet and you criticize and attempt to diminish his effectiveness. That is just entirely foolish. You act as though the majority conservative agenda doesn't trounce our liberal perspectives on how American life should be. Suck it up. This isn't the end of America as you know it.

Preaching about extremes for equality for African Americans is CLEARLY different than preaching of hate ethnic groups and superiority over those religious and ethnic groups. You're being spoonfed fear, and you just lap it up don't you?

Well, we can't simply blame a President Elect for the issues plaguing the stock market. Granted, his election may have quite a few in the business/investments sectors shaking in their boots, but is it really his fault? I would argue it is those fearful of moving forward. Failure to invest will only slow down and hurt our nation. I know it is shaky at this time, but if we could just try to turn things around as a collective instead of looking out for our own necks, we c

I've had discussions with my students about who you would vote for and why would they vote that way if they could. This is not just simply something that only youthful Obama supporters do. Casting a vote without knowing any issues or background is something that spreads across this and every new generation of voters in the majority. Those ignorant McCain and Obama supporters have learned to be such via peer pressure, parental or familal influence,

I have not blamed him [Bush] for things so out of his immediate control. I would expect you to try and do the same with Obama. Just because others do it, doesn't mean it is a good idea. I'm sure you can agree on some level with that ideal. I do not feel that Bush single-handedly caused any problems that America is facing right now. I just see it more along the lines of his policies haven't helped and how he hasn't made much effort to switch gears or at least make

Adventure-Dude has that good old fashioned ability to be narrow-minded, it appears. Yes, because the President, as a person, has everything to do with how the stock market fluctuates. Wake up, dork. Bush is still President if we're going to think about it in that moronic way. How about instead we realize, like the article said, that the economy is in a state of peril and we probably have years of damage to come and hard work to do.

Wow, talk about not taking anything from either of the candidates' remarks yesterday. Some just can't seem to understand. I guess the message of working together despite disagreements didn't quite get through to everyone. The blame game is not going to help America solve problems. Separating from common ground to cling to the party ranks helps no one, and we'll see if Obama can be an effective President while still being critical of his own party at times. What I

"Spread the wealth" does not mean take the money from the rich and give that money directly to the poor. Sure there are programs and initiatives in place to actually provide money for those in need - welfare, food stamps, bail-out plans , etc. I, in the middle class, also help out those individuals with my taxes, but I would like to keep much more of my money too. Obama is not talking about giving all the wealth to the poor in this country; people still do ha

House is my favorite show on television. I have never seen a bad episode, and everything about it continues to engage me. I recently got into watching Life, and I have to agree with your sentiments Seabass. It's a great show, but is falling into that style of extending a plot to extreme lengths. Equating it to Prisonbreak might be a little harsh though ;). I stopped watching that show altogether now; it has just been destroyed, and the orginal premise that got us

I was impressed with McCain's out-of-the-gate approaches this time around. He seemed quite aggressive at the start really trying to outshine Obama. I even thought he accomplished that mission well enough with some of those early arguments (though I don't agree with them). Once Obama got with it though, it was very much his show. Although, throughout the course of all of the debates, I'm very disappointed that they will not just answer the questions straight.&n

Exactly, but just because it hits on Google doesn't make it any more credible than a science project by a first grader. Google is not an Encyclopedia, nor is it even a tool for hard, discrete research. The search follows Boolean Logic; it's not 'truth powered.' Did you read that 'about us' section derived from that site that I posted? Basically, they state that they use the internet to get their facts and research, and they're, according to the parent site, "allaboutGO
