I think I figure it out. Rebuilding the fleet style has worked. I was able to assign the same exact ship design to every fleet slot except one, the ship design did not show up, I believe because it wasn't the right size, so I used something close and saved the fleet style and it worked. I've already forgotten exactly which fleet slot it was, but looks like I'm going to have to go through each manually, which I am going to do. I had to remove two abilities from the faction as well as c
From the sounds of it the problem is that the ship DESIGNS, which the shipset calls upon, are not in the proper folder. The ship designs would have to be in the: steam/steamapps/common/galactic civilizations III/designs folder, because the game will not see them in the mod folder without mods enabled.
But the designs aren't in the mods folder, they are in: C:\Users\ \Docu

New idea! I think I can look at the ShipClassDefs for each civ and manually assign the ship designs to roles and see if that works. Looks to be quite a bit of work though.
Yea unfortunately. Are any of the ship designs using your custom Advance Ship Components? That is the only thing I can think of that could be causing problems if a ship has a module that isn't available in vanilla. I checked one civ's ships at a glance and didn't see any of your survey or colony modules on them. Perhaps one day you'll release the civs as vanilla. I think for the time being I'm going to have to choose one of the default ship sets for the races, bummer, t
Just tried uninstalling GC3, deleting my GC3Crusade directory, reinstalling, installing GRM, following process outlined above, and the ship set is still invalidated. This is frustrating.
I'm on 3.04. So the process that you think would work would be: Purge all mods, designs, factions and shipsetstyles Reinstall your (awesome) mod Launch w/ Mods enabled Edit Civs to have only 2 traits Save fleet style Disable mods Profit I really appreciate the assistance, I love the races and ship designs but want to stay more vanilla.
So I just tried loading w/ Mods so I could access one of your civilizations. I saved the ship set to disk with a different name. Assigned the shipset to the civilization and saved the civilization. I turned mods off and reloaded. I still get an error 'Unknown Ship Style.' Edit: Debug.err shows this line, so apparently the issue is with a Zrentak Colonies ship? But the error doesn't give enough information to know which. Debug Message: ValidateFaction: FAIL

I'd like to remove the requirement for any mods to use these races. This is just for personal use, I wouldn't distribute your work. I've already removed the traits in excess of 2 but I'm having issues because the ship sets aren't recognized. Would love if you could give me a quick response on what I'd need to remove from the ship designs to get this working?
Probably an oversight. While back I did update naming of all the logos. Just edit the race and save them with a new one if you can.
Do you know the name of the original logo? I really like the one in your preview video but I couldn't find it in the list.
Hey I'm just installed the latest version and I'm missing the logo for Lythian Expanse. Any ideas? All logos for other races are showing just fine.
