Thanks thomassen for the suggestion. Unfortunately I'm not a programmer, I'm a graphic designer and scripting is not my forte. My goal for buying DesktopX Professional was to be able to make mockups of specialized applications and GUIs for clients, using the Gadget format as the perfect solution. With the current About box function it looks like I will not be able to reach that goal.
Will the 3.2 version of DesktopX Professional finally make it possible to create customized About screens that match the created application? Sorry, but the DesktopX advertising gotta go from the About-popup if people are expected to use it for professional creations.

GIMP will let you do that. http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ Just delete any background layer behind your graphics. GIMP is almost as powerful as Photoshop and as Photoshop it needs some time before you know how things work in it. Tip: Many tasks can be found under the right mousebutton.
Apart from the classic categories I would really like to see an "Innovative Desktop Experience" category. Where users of DesktopX and other applications could create innovative, useful and interesting desktop guis.

This sounds like you have a problem with your graphics card driver. 1. Do you know what graphics card you have? 2. Have you tried installing the latest driver for your card?

Actually there may be a separate banner window opened up that you're not supposed to see. Once I found a window opened and placed just so it would be outside my 1600x1200 resolution desktop, but, a tiny slice of the browser's left side appeared at my bottom right desktop side. I managed to grab it and move it to the middle and saw that it was a separate flash ad originating from wincustomize.com. Go figure.</f
