To contribute to your sense of small world, my Dad's sister is friends with a few of the teachers there too.

I was out computer shopping today. Not because I need a new computer... No, the 700Mhz flood surviving box I got from Greywar is clicking along just fine. It runs Fedora Core 2 now, and a fine specimen of an OS that is, too. No, I don't need another computer. However, MicroCenter was having a sale, and if I had opened a new credit card and had the patience for rebate
Something odd has been going on lately. Case #1. T. Shiavo is dying by judicial order in Florida. I know I'm a bit late to the game here, but it occurs to me that the State has no real interest in her death, but it might be in the State's best interest to not make mortal enemies of her parents. Now it could be that the Schindlers are docile, gentlepeople
Please tell me I don't know who this is.
25% gone? I'd say you swilled right past that milestone ages ago!
I think filters are fine if your kid isn't actively searching the stuff out. Weblocker is a free one, and works well for us. Also if you want to go hardcore and not trust the brains behind the filters, you can make a white list of the sites that will be allowed through. Everything else gets blocked. ... until they ftp in a different browser. ... anyhow.... Our rule is that if the kid wants to be on the internet, it has to be in a "public" part of
Possibly from the same line of folk who think Central America is a state somewhere between Kansas and Nebraska?
And here I thought you were an intellectual.
Funniest blog you've written yet! Too bad that wasn't you in the first pic. Would have made my year in Texas WAY more interesting.
I agree with Spc Nobody Special. I remember a time in 1223 walking down the hall and hearing (through a closed paper-thin door) some Sgt telling his girl what he wanted. 'Course, he was sort of a noisy guy anyhow. As for the barracks in Texas, I would remind EL that the memories were more fun for some than for others. At least the walls were more sound absorbent than in Korea.
Wow! Did you read the bit about pre-soaking the briquettes in LOX? I'd like to try THAT.
"You are gorillas, you are black, and you are badly dressed." Say it with a Mock French accent, and it sounds like something out of a Monty Python skit gone badly awry.

You trying to say something Pseudo?
We've heard good things about RCSH before... but now we're just going to HAVE to go try for ourselves, carnivours that we are.
Whaddya mean "Steal Oil"??? We won it fair and square in combat.
Need.... Deadly..... Charisma.....
Sort of ironic that Maryland has a Ft. Meade, but not a bottle of the stuff in sight, huh?
Well he answers when *I* call... I think ya gotta offer him money.
Do the long comments eat up your alloted storage space?
Also, doesn't Saddam bear the primary responsibility for deaths due to the embargo? Sure he does. But I really doubt that matters to the people who are looking for motivation speeches to recruit new mass murderers. I think David had a really good post. It seems fairly obvious that re-locating the I
The Camel lived in my closet... just FYI
Hopefully neither. The journalists report what they want, and eventually the public discovers the truth anyhow.
Oh, yes it is.
did he label you "flouncing nancy?" Pseudo... you misunderstand. It wasn't that I drank that particular drink. It's just that my personal finances were "extraordinarily conservative"... Here's one for ya... if all beer is obviously masculine, what does that make "Old Growler"?
