General newbie help

Hi to all.

Problem 1. I installed the "simple text email checker" realized I hated it then wanted to uninstall it. Went to the "Load Objects" menu and deleted it. It wont't go away though I restarted and all. It starts up with desktop X and mocks me with it's non-stop blinking...

Problem 2. Well this is more of a "how do I" question. So, how would I have all my widgets and objects open exactly where I left them? This goes double for the "Note-It" program because it always starts in the lower right hand corner of my desktop. Or is it one of thos things you can't change?

1) Try loading a new theme. You probably can't delete the object while it is running. You can delete the object from your desktop, then delete it from your library. If it is a widget, maybe it is set to autostart. I've created widgets and objects and I've had no trouble removing them.

2) I noticed those settings in an older version of DesktopX but, I don't see them in the latest version. There are two things you may try. First right click and select all the related objects then right click and choose properties. There are a lot of settings for locking, movement, and such. You may also try right clicking your desktop and uncheck the align to grid and auto arrange.

Well it is gone from my library. Though it's still stuck on my desktop. Still blinking.

I cant find any trace of it by searching my hard drive. Still there, still blinking though. Your second suggestion worked fine though so thanks.

In 'Edit' mode (as opposed to user mode) in DX, choose 'List Objects' from the context menu.

This will display every part of all the DX objects - if necessary go down the list deleting each object part, one by one until they are all gone.

This has worked for me when all else has failed.
