New to these skins please help with problems please?

Hi there, im new here. Ok i have severl problems:

I have the Cyrix theme, and its amazing. Was wondering if anyone knows where i can get all of it? Like a suite kinda? I need the booting one, login, cursor, and icons etc.

Also how do i apply this theme?

I have theme manger, but i dont know how to use this theme?

First, I suggest that you uninstall Theme Manager. Reboot and install Winstyles. It is less buggy. You can find a link for Winstyles at the top of the suites library.

Then, you need to install the various programs for the different pieces of the themes. Logon requires LogonStudio. Icons require iconpackager, windowblinds require the program Windowblinds, Rainlendar requires rainlendar, Bootskin requires the Bootskin program, etc.. A link to the required program is listed at the top of the various libraries.

Theme Manager replaced Winstyles, the latest released version of Theme Manager is 2.11.027.

I found by completely uninstalling Winstyles, then installing Theme Manager I had no issues with it

Install Winstyles, and download the theme, it will automatically download the needed pieces of the suite.

It seems that you now have two different recommendations. You can try either one you like. I know that mine works, and Essencay says his works. Maybe Theme Manager has now improved, but I encountered the same problems that you have in the past versions. Maybe there is a more recent version of Theme Manager that has fixed the bugs. I know that I don't have those sorts of problems with Winstyles v1.4.

#4 is the correct answer. Remove all traces of WinStyles before installing Theme Manager.

Theme manager replaced WinStyles, which should no longer be used. The link on the Suites page leads to Theme Manager 2.0...

It seems that Fuzzy Logic is correct. Winstyles v1.4 is no longer available, as it was about one week ago when I last checked. So, I guess if you have problems with Theme Manager, you are stuck. Sorry.

Ok here is what i did, i uninstall Theme Manger, reboted, installed, downloaded the suite http://www2.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=22&SkinID=176 (suite name is CopperDeckII) It says that the program has encountred a problem and needs to close? It doesn't happen with any other suite. Does anyone know the problem? ALso anyone know why this suite http://www2.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=g-pod&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&library=22 (suite name is G-Pod Project), doesn't work?

Ops sorry. I didn't know who "Brian" is, is that the authors real name or something?

Anywho i downloaded G-Pod and it's in ZIP. Format, it doesn't install automatically, i dont think it contains the correct files in the ZIP. folder.

Sorry, it looks like I was right. But, Winstyles is no longer available, so you don't have that option anymore. You can try downloading the pieces individually and applying them.

If you take your G-pod suite link above and change the Library to "Please Select", all the G-Pod skins will appear. You can then download them individually. The same applies for Copperdeck( I left off the "II" because there may still be more than one version in different skins, not sure)

I'm sorry but i do not no how to change the libary? Also i think its because G-pod is for Winsstyle and i have Theme Manger, also i tryed searching for chopperdeck in the themes seaction but i could'nt find it?

Just finished downloading G-Pod....makes a comment about abjectbar not being defined, but everything, including objectbar skin, gets applied no problem for me.

Anywho i downloaded G-Pod and it's in ZIP


Rename G-Pod.zip to G-Pod.suite and click on it

Ok i did that but then like you said it gives me a error message, it only changes the wallpaper, icons, and cursor but nothing else? I still have my other theme not the G-Pod theme? Also the ChopperDeck theme doesn't do nothing when i click on apply.

Are you able to get any other themes to work? Also try clicking on the advanced button and try applying just parts of the theme to see which program isn't behaving well with the G-Pod theme. Also copperdeck theme isn't working with thememanager at all.

How do i change the colour to blue on the G-Pod?

ALso i got the theme to work, everything but the cursor and icon pacage on the chopperdeck can somehelp me on that?

LMAO ok i gotta stop this, i figured out everything but the colour chaning for both skins? Sorry for so many posts, sorry. Didn't want to waste your peoples time by replying to a problem that has been solved.
